Foldable Eli Whitney Year: 1793 Region Used: South & West Info: Cotton Gin Eli Whitney invented the Cotton Gin in 1793. This invention could remove seeds from the Cotton 50X faster than by hand. The Cotton Gin caused slavery to dramatically increase.
