Christmas Lunch at St James Church Hall was enjoyed by all. Thankyou to everyone involved in organising the occasion. The Bay City Entertainers were great. The 50 s and 60 s music brought back good memories to many in the audience and encouraged their participation. Many thanks to the band members for giving up their time to entertain us. Presidents Report The Bellarine Woodworkers club is looking very good with approx. 70 members, and it s good to see some female members. In the past year we have completed the extensions to the workshop and almost completed the work inside, the working bees were well attended. Thanks to all the workers, a job well done. We have received grants from the City of Greater Geelong($3000.00), Bendigo Community Bank ($2090.00) the Mens Shed grant ($15,235.00), a total of over 20,000.00 dollars. We still have to do the concreting outside before the building is finalised. The Christmas lunch was great, good food and I hope good entertainment. was awarded Woodie of the Year, Ted Brown awarded a Life Membership and Eon Cook a special thanks award, well done. The next thing is the show on 3rd and 4th of January 2015 see you all there. I would like to thank all members for their great support, and a special thanks to the Committee Members for their support and putting up with me, thank you all.

VALE GERALD PAYNE It is with regret that we record the passing of long-serving member, Gerry, after a long illness, at the age of 81. Gerry was the son of a Battle of Britain fighter pilot and he also served in the British Army in Singapore. He arrived in Australia as a migrant in 1973 and became a salesman of technical equipment. On retirement, Gerry and Patricia moved to Ocean Grove, where Gerry enjoyed sailing, music and woodwork. Whilst not a prolific wood worker, making mostly household items, Gerry, who joined the club in 1999, volunteered to act as Activities Director, a job he carried out for many years with untiring persistence despite chronic illness problems. The Club had many excellent presentations on a wide range of subjects. We offer our sincere condolences to Patricia and family.
