Page 6 IMPORTANT Picnic Message from Bob & Carolyn Horn Picnic Sat. May 12,10:30 a m.?? At Bob & Carolyn Horn s. Preliminary info: WE have the 3 tents they can be picked up on this date. Also have one of ours. That makes 4. Soft drinks will be provided..most have already been purchased at a low price. Need to work out who will bring tea/sweet tea. We have 3gal bottles of Callaway Blue Water. There will be a horseshoe pit, as well as a fishing competition (the largest fish), with prizes awarded. The top 2 winners in each will have the 1 st pick of a prize (we have some nice ones). Coin toss will determine who goes first. 1) Donnis has donated 2 items an 18 ½ S curve, 1 post and a right angle tool rest with 5/8 post..nice guy. 2) Rick Wood of the Woodyard in Griffin has donated several items he may also come to the picnic. 3) Our friends from Newnan who do craft shows with us will bring their rig/trailer and do boiled peanuts for us (no cost). They will also come and help us cook. 4) there will be 6 or 7 lathe accessory items that I purchased that will be given out (each member will need to put his name on a slip for the drawings). We assume that each couple will bring a dish, as before. We will provide the main items. Mike McCain lives across the lake he will bring his pontoon boat over so that we will have 2 boats for excursions. I have 3 lathes, for anyone who wants to work on that day. Where we need help: WE have outside room for about 20 people to sit so we will need some chairs. It would be helpful to know approx. how many people we can expect the more the better. We are planning for at least 70. We have 2 small grills that may not be enough could use more. A final notice will be sent out the week before the picnic. If you want to catch the biggest fish, you d better be fishing for bass. You rednecks practice your horseshoes. IF you plan to bring some of the stuff above (other than the covered dish, chair and your sweetie ) Bob & Carolyn contact Bob or Bob..first
