Members are expected to pay their bill upon receipt so if you have not received your bill or if there is a problem contact Diane Dixon. Club News and Announcements President Neil 52-50 Winner Davis Hart Attendance Prize Winner Jim Kennedy Remembered In Our Thoughts and Prayers Sandy Riordan, a retired Xenia teacher and friend of Randy who is battling cancer; Jon Blakely s mother who had heart surgery; residents of Gatlinburg Tennessee. Dave Thompson s Guests grandmother; included a Becky friend Cultice. of Judy Baker s daughter who is suffering with seizures and a suspected brain tumor; and a friend of Keith Sheridan who died unexpectedly.

Guests today included Beavercreek Rotarians Sandy Brubaker and Dick Gould, and Evan Scott. Members celebrated the December birthdays of Harry Johns, Noel McKeown, John Flanagan, and Steve Brodsky. The club began the voting process for the next new board member by selecting the top three candidates. The next step is to pick one of the three. Diane Dixon briefed the logistics associated with the Christmas program. The gifts should be returned at the meeting on the 13 th of December. That is also the date for the auction. Members should drop off their gifts at the appropriate vehicle in the parking lot prior to entering the Y. Plan to be in place no later than 11:30 on the 13 th so bidding can begin at noon. Make sure to take off tags and UPC labels to ensure the gifts cannot be returned. There will be some new features for this year s auction with some very nice auction items such as a suite at the Dayton Dragons game. President Neil announced the 27 Dec meeting is cancelled based on the survey of the membership. Interested in ordering a case of wine (Red or White) from Firelands Winery, Sandusky, Ohio? Full cases (12 bottles) must be ordered for $288 plus shipping. Let President Neil know if interested in some part or all of a case. Portions of the proceeds are going to the Rotary International Foundation. Sarge Denis Orders and Fines for the Day Sarge Denise noted the Gazette featured a story about Xenia Community Schools and their Student of Character. She fined Brett for being really late to the meeting and Karl for not introducing our guests and the two Beavercreek Rotarians for sitting at the scooter table. Sarge gave kudos to John LeBlanc for setting up the room today. Sarge Denise also noted that Steve Brodsky won t be able to attend the auction but has told the treasurer what he would have bid had he been present. Since there are no club members with a birthday on the 25 th of any month all had to pay a fine. Anyone not signed up to ring the bell also had to pay the Sarge. Happy Bucks Laurie Fox had $10 for her 20 th wedding anniversary. Denny had a buck to celebrate the great kids in the Ensemble. Tony S was happy to report he had a great time visiting his granddaughter and her parents in Seattle over the Thanksgiving holiday week and that was his excuse for not publishing The Elevator the following week.

Program The Xenia Ensemble returned to the club for its annual Christmas program. You can see their full concert performance at the Xenia High School on Tuesday, 13 December beginning at 7 pm.
