Creating the Album Base 1. Using the Sale- a- Bration Scallop Trim Border punch, punch Sweet Pea DSP along both 4 ¾ edges. Fold DSP in half so scallop edges meet. 2. Place 4 Glassine Bags (sealed edge flush with DSP Fold) inside folded DSP. (Bag openings should be out). Trim approx ¼ from the raw edge of each bag to create a straight edge. 3. Using sewing machine, stitch along binding (approximately ¼ from edge). This creates your Glassine Bag Album, which we will be decorating with stamping and lots of embellishments! Decorating Album Cover 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 4 www.stampinbythesea.com Cut approximately 25 of Pretty in Pink 5/8 Satin Ribbon. Place under Sweet Pea DSP (Scallop Trim edges are not secured with adhesive) and wrap around binding. Tie bow and trim ends on angle with scissors. Cut 6 of Linen Thread. Wrap Linen Thread under knot of satin bow. Thread Linen Thread through holes of Pretty in Pink Corduroy button and tie in bow. Ink Friendly Words Jumbo Wheel using Chocolate Chip ink. Roll wheel over one piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock (4 3/8 x 5 ¾ ) to cover the top completely. Using Corner Rounder, punch 2 corners on right side (4 3/8 edge). Sponge around edges of Chocolate Chip cardstock using Chocolate Chip ink. Adhere to front of Glassine Bag Album using dimensionals by tucking under Sweet Pea DSP. Punch Extra Large Fancy Flower (2) using Pretty in Pink cardstock. Rough Extra Large Fancy Flower by pulling paper back and forth between thumb and bone folder. Repeat this process on both sides of cardstock until paper fibers begin to break down. You will see edges begin to separate or fray. When the paper begins to separate, begin pulling the flowers away from each other. One flower will turn into two making the flowers look like Faux Felt. Repeat on 2nd flower (Should have total of 4 Faux Felt Flowers). Using ¾ circle punch, punch circle using scrap of Chocolate Chip cardstock. Adhere to front of one Faux Felt Extra Large Fancy Flower using adhesive. Layer 4 Faux Felt Flowers on top of one another (felt side up). Using paper piercing tool and mat pack, pierce hole in center of flowers. Place Pretty in Pink ½ Epoxy Brad in center and fasten.
9. Punch Leaf (from Two Step Bird Punch) twice, using Old Olive cardstock. Adhere to back of Faux Felt Extra Large Fancy Flower using adhesive. 10. Place Pop- Up Glue Dot on back of Faux Felt Extra Large Fancy Flower and adhere to bottom right corner of Chocolate Chip album cover. 11. Punch Two Step Bird using Creamy Caramel cardstock. Ink Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel using Chocolate Chip ink and gently wheel bird and wing. Sponge around bird and wing using Chocolate Chip ink. 12. Adhere wing to bird using a dimensional. Adhere bird (slightly tucked under Faux Felt Extra Large Fancy Flower) to album cover using dimensional. 13. Mix Frost Shimmer Paint and Rubbing Alcohol in mini spray bottle. Spritz album cover using Shimmer Mist to add finishing touch. This spray will also make your faux felt flower crinkle a little. Back of Album 1. Using Corner Rounder, punch 2 corners on left side (4 3/8 edge) of Chocolate Chip cardstock (4 3/8 x 5 ¾ ). 2. Sponge around edges of Chocolate Chip cardstock using Chocolate Chip ink. 3. Adhere to back of Glassine Bag Album using dimensionals by tucking under Sweet Pea DSP. Chocolate Chip Insert (page 1) 1. Punch 1 ¼ circle using Pretty in Pink cardstock scrap. Adhere to Metal Edge Tag (1 ½ ) using adhesive. 2. Locate Kindred Spirits on Friendly Words Jumbo Wheel. Ink area using Chocolate Chip ink and roll onto Pretty in Pink cardstock scrap. Cut words out using scissors. Rough edges using finger nail and sponge around edges using Chocolate Chip ink. Adhere to bottom of Metal Tag using mini-glue dots. 3. Cut approximately 9 of Linen Thread. Thread Linen Thread through holes of Pretty in Pink Sherbet Button. Tie in bow. Adhere to right edge of Metal Edge Tag using Mini- Glue dot. 4. Place Sticky Strip on backside of Metal Edge Tag (only on left side). Peel red backing off Sticky Strip and adhere to top right corner of 4 x 6 Chocolate Chip cardstock (4 side). 5. Rose Red Page and Insert (page 2) 1. Using Corner Rounder, punch 2 corners on right side (4 3/8 edge) of Rose Red cardstock (4 3/8 x 5 ½ ). Adhere to front of 2 nd Glassine Bag (page 2) using adhesive. 2. Punch 1 circle using Regal Rose cardstock scrap. Rough circle by pulling circle back and forth between thumb and bone folder. Repeat this process on both sides of cardstock until paper fibers begin to break down. As edges begin to separate pull circle apart to get Faux Felt appearance (Save 2 nd piece for next page). 3. Punch ¾ circle using Chocolate Chip cardstock. Sponge around edges using Chocolate Chip ink. Adhere to 1 Regal Rose circle using adhesive. 4. Cut 4 of Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon. Fold in half to make loop. Trim lose ends on angle using scissors. Staple to Rose Red cardstock (4 x 6). Making sure ribbon tab is slightly under previous page tab when slide inside Glassine Bag Album. 5. Place 1 circle over ribbon (bottom of ribbon will appear under circle). 6. Using Paper Piercing Tool and Mat Pack, poke hole in center of ¾ circle. Place Chocolate Chip Epoxy brad through circle and fasten to 4 x 6 Rose Red page. 7. Regal Rose Page and Insert (page 3) 1. Using Corner Rounder, punch 2 corners on right side (4 3/8 edge) of Regal Rose cardstock (4 3/8 x 5 ½ ). Adhere to front of Glassine Bag (page3) using adhesive. 2. Punch Curly Label using Chocolate Chip cardstock. Sponge around edges using Chocolate Chip ink. 3. Adhere Faux Felt 1 Regal Rose circle (from instruction #2 of previous page) to Chocolate Chip Curly Label (towards right side). 4. Punch ¾ circle using Pretty in Pink cardstock scrap. Adhere (off centered) to Regal Rose Faux Felt Circle using Mini-Glue Dot. 5. Cut approximately 9 Linen Thread. Thread through back of Chocolate Chip Button Latte and tie Linen Thread in bow. Adhere (off centered) to Pretty in Pink ¾ circle using Mini-Glue Dot. 6. Place Sticky Strip on left side of Curly Label punch and adhere to Regal Rose cardstock (4 x 6). Make sure tab is slightly under previous page tab when slid inside page 3 of Glassine Bag Album. WWW.STAMPINBYTHESEA.COM 7
Pretty in Pink Page and Insert (page4) 1. Using Corner Rounder, punch 2 corners on right side (4 3/8 edge) of Pretty in Pink cardstock (4 3/8 x 5 ½ ). Adhere to front of Glassine Bag (page 4) using adhesive. 2. Punch Scallop Oval using Rose Red cardstock scrap. 3. Punch Large Oval using Pretty in Pink cardstock scrap. Rough oval by pulling cardstock back and forth between thumb and bone folder. Repeat this process on both sides of cardstock until paper fibers begin to break down. As edges begin to separate pull oval apart to get Faux Felt appearance. Adhere to Scallop Oval punch using adhesive (Faux Felt side showing). 4. Using scissors, cut v on end of Chocolate Chip cardstock (½ x 2 ¼). Cut opposite end on angle using scissors. Adhere banner to oval using Mini-Glue Dots. 5. Adhere Felt Rose Red Circle (from Sweet Pea Stitched Felt) to Chocolate Chip banner using a Mini-Glue Dot. 6. Place Sticky Strip on left side of Scallop Oval punch and adhere to Pretty in Pink cardstock (4 x 6).
