HEAVY LIFT SOFT SLING SOLUTIONS ON- & OFFSHORE WIND INDUSTRY VERSION 2018

LIFT-TEX INDUSTRIE B.V. We from Lift-Tex Industrie B.V., a Heavy Lift synthetic fibre round sling manufacture company based in the Netherlands, have put all our efforts in establishing a representative and well-known reputation in the Heavy Lift industry with the development of Heavy Lift EXTREEMA soft slings & protections. EXTREEMA soft slings are manufactured on state of the art machinery, based on the latest technologies. During the past couple of years Lift-Tex has developed and invested in multiple types of machinery. These investments have made it possible to assure a fully controlled production process from raw material into EXTREMA slings. Over the past couple of years EXTREEMA slings have been selected for many different Offshore Wind Projects. The light weight makes EXTREEMA slings easy to handle for riggers, resulting in a more efficient loading and unloading of monopile foundations and other components. The light weight of EXTREEMA slings is not the only advantage. A D:d of 1:1 ensures a more efficient strength of the sling. By combining this feature with strict calculations from our engineers we are able to select the most perfect solution for the offshore wind industry.

NOORDOOSTPOLDER THE NETHERLANDS 2015 The Noordoostpolder Windfarm is located on shore and near shore along the dikes of the IJsselmeer on the western side of the Noordoostpolder. The 86 wind turbines of Enercon are the biggest at the moment to be placed on a concrete mast of 135 meters and blades of nearly 60 meters. EXTREEMA Heavy Lift (soft) slings were used to lift the fully assembled turbine & blades up to 150 meter height to be positioned in one lift. A tremendous cost saving operation improvement for ENERCON GmbH. There are no limits in using quality products for safer lifting jobs

VEJA MATE GERMANY 2016 EXTREEMA Heavy Lift slings (made with Dyneema ) were selected for the Veja Mate Offshore Wind Farm for the loadout and installation of 67 Monopile Foundations up to L:85m, dia. 8,7m 1300t at Eemshaven. This prestigious project was successfully completed on time and budget. O.W.F (Offshore Windforce), a joint venture between Boskalis and Volker Stevin Int, have been contracted to install all foundations using the jack up vessel SEAJACKS SCYLLA.

HYDROHAMMER LIFT 2016 EXTREEMA slings are a perfect fit for lifting jacket structures, foundations, monopoles, tiples, tipods, wind turbines, nacelles, blades and wind towers.

BLOCK ISLAND USA 2016 The first offshore wind farm in the United States, the 30-megawatt Project, 5 turbine Block Island offshore wind farm is completed. The spreader beam, equipped with EXTREEMA heavy lift soft slings (Made with Dyneema ) manufactured by LIFT-TEX were used for transport and installation of the nacelle (wind turbines) from Alstom for GE wind in the USA.

RACE BANK UNITED KINGDOM 2016 GeoSea s jack-up vessel Innovation has installed 91 monopile foundations at DONG Energy s 580MW Race Bank wind farm located off the coast of North Norfolk, UK. The load-out of MP s with a weight upto 840T took place in Bremerhafen with a parallel lift of 2 cranes lifting capacity 800T each. EXTREEMA Soft Slings (made with Dyneema ) were selected to perform the lifting operation.

PARALLEL LIFT MONOPILE LOADOUT 2017 One of the biggest monopile manufacturers for the renewable energy industry in Germany has taken the next step in saving money on lifting equipment. EXTREEMA slings were chosen to equip two separate heavy lift cranes with a lifting capacity of SWL 800T each. Both cranes are being used for parallel load-out lifts or single load-out lifts of monopiles up to 1100T or heavy lift weight modules such as converter platforms. As a result of good communication and training the engineers of our customer as well as the outsourced transport company have been able to execute and finish several load-out projects in time and on budget.

MERKUR GERMANY - 2017 Merkur OWF will be one of the largest offshore wind farms off the coast of Germany. The park is located about 45 kilometers North of Borkum. In total, the OWF will generate 400 MW. EXTREEMA soft slings with MBL s varying from MBL 1750T up to MBL 3850T with working lengths up to 32meters were chosen to lift and install Monopile foundations with a weight up to 1.100MT, a length of 70m and a diameter of 8,1m. The complete load-out onto the Innovation installation Jack-up vessel owned by GeoSea was performed using EXTREEMA Heavy Lift soft slings. The EXTREEMA/HMPE soft slings made with Dyneema have also been used to install previous OWF which confirm the added value of cost savings and return on investment when using EXTREEMA HMPE soft slings made with Dyneema. After de-mobilisation of the installation jack-up vessel the EXTREEMA Heavy Lift slings can be inspected and repaired for future projects on demand by the contractor. Dyneema is made by DSM Dyneema in the Netherlands. DSM Dyneema provides the necessary EU-preferential origin Certificates or even Manufacturer Approval Certificates for the Dyneema raw materials, unlike Asian/Chinese HMPE manufacturers. EXTREEMA soft slings can be Proof loaded acc. to DNV offshore regulations and accompanied with a Certificate on demand.

GALLOPER UNITED KINGDOM 2017 EXTREEMA soft slings made with Dyneema were provided to GeoSea s (DEME Group) INNOVATION installation vessel to perform loadout of MP s from the BOW Terminal in Vlissingen in the Netherlands. EXTREEMA soft slings with MBL s varying from MBL 1750T upto MBL 3850T with working lengths upto 32meters were chosen to lift and install 56 monopiles of 85m in length and 7.5m in diameter, with a weight up to 1,200T per MP. Of the coast of Suffolk (UK) the Galloper wind farm will be fully operational in 2018. The complete load-out & installation project was finished in time and on budget. After inspection & repair, EXTREEMA soft slings are now being used on future OWF projects such as MERKUR and RENTEL Offshore Windparks. Return on investment and cost savings as a consequence for the contractor have shown and proven to be a success with EXTREEMA Heavy Lift soft slings.

RENTEL BELGIUM 2017 EXTREEMA Heavy Lift soft slings in several configurations up to MBL 4000T/8000T (made with Dyneema ) were chosen for the load-out of 42 monopiles (dia.ø 8m) comprising a weight up to 1250T each manufactured by SiF Group based in Rotterdam Harbor. Installation vessel Innovation owned by DEME-Group was mobilized for the transportation and upending of the monopiles and mounting transition pieces (TP s) measuring 22M in length (6M dia.ø) and a weight of 325T each. When the project was finished all EXTREEMA slings were inspected, repaired and stored for upcoming Heavy lift projects.
