PREPARATION Plese red complete instlltion instructions before fitting. The surround ssembly should be instlled onto wterproof wll nd floor covering. The AWL Wetroom Wlk-in Pnel cn be positioned on wterproof floor or long the rim of shower try. If fitting onto Mtki Fineline shower try position the pnel 0mm in from the outside edge of the try to provide seling re. Spry from the shower my extend beyond the entrnce nd we recommend wterproofing of the djcent re, sloping towrds the drin position. Crefully remove pnel from crton, do not plce glss on hrd floor or expose edges to impct. CAUTION: TEMPERED GLASS CANNOT BE CUT, POLISHED METAL AND CHROME CAN BE SCRATCHED.. STAGE 840-000 (AWL ONLY - 050 MAX) This stge is describing the Wll mount instlltion. Position the Wll mount on to the wll in the desired position. Plese see dimension on previous pge for Mx nd Min for model size. Dimension 840 to 050 (depending on model) is mesured from the Finished wll surfce to the outside fce of the Wll mount. Position the Wll mount so tht the djustment slots on the side of the Wll mount re fcing inside the product. Plumb the Wll mount for upright nd mrk the fixing holes on the wll in the centre of the slots in the bck fce of the Wll mount. Drill the fixing holes in the wll with 6mm drill bit nd insert the Wll plugs. Clen the re. Apply Silicon selnt to the re behind the Wll mount between the floor or try if fitted nd the tiles nd 00mm up the wll, centrl to the width of the Wll mount (). Fit the Wll mount with the 5 No. 8 x 3mm Pn hed screws () (Kit of Prts). STAGE This stge is describing the fitting of the AWL pnel. We recommend two people re vilble for this stge. Crefully lower the glss pnel down into the Wll mount nd onto the floor (). Secure the glss pnel to the Wll mount using the 5 No.8 x 9.5mm Pn hed screws ().
IMPORTANT: Ensure blck, split ring gsket is in plce prior to fitting brcket. STAGE 3 b INSIDE FACE d Surfce Clener Schet 4mm c IMPORTANT: For both top nd bottom brcket the off-centre nture of the mechnism will feel tight when finl fstening. See notes d to e. e 50mm 4mm IMPORTANT: Ensure blck, split ring gsket is in plce prior to fitting brcket. This stge explins the joining of the pnels nd fitting of the Corner Brckets.. Before fitting the Side pnel, peel bck pproximtely 50mm of the yellow bcking film from the Bonding tpe tht is on the edge of the Side pnel. Peel the bcking film from the bottom upwrds to id removl of the film once Side pnel is in position. b. Before fitting the Side pnel, clen the fce of the Front pnel glss tht will be bonded to the Side pnel using surfce clener schet supplied in the kit of prts. c. Bonding of corner joint between pnels: Crefully move the Side pnel wy from the Front pnel t the top, mximum gp 5mm, to crete V shped gp between the Side pnel nd Front pnel. Slowly remove the bcking film from the removed edge working upwrds ligning the glss fce nd edge. Press the glss together s the bcking film is removed, when 300mm from the top remove ll the bcking film nd press firmly together. d. Fitting of the Top Corner Brckets: Disssemble the brcket nd slot over the top of the glss. Retighten the brcket using the 4mm llen key. Importnt: The finl fixing of the brcket will seem over tight when ligning the screw - this is the off-centre nture of the mechnism designed into the brcket to eventully tighten the pnels together. The compression of the gskets will llow the brcket to fit together nd for the screw hed to recess into the countersunk feture in the brcket bckplte. e. Fitting of the Bottom Corner Brckets: Disssemble the brcket nd plce the brcket either side of the glss. Fit bck together through the glss using the screw nd tighten using the 4mm llen key provided - s bove (d). Fit the screw cover cps nd llow hours for the bond to cure fully before showering.
c STAGE 4 Rubber Wsher d b This stge is describing the fitting of the Wll brce. Unscrew the clmp body until the Glss clmp esily fits over the glss (b). Plce the Brce crefully on to the top of the L-Shped pnel with the Compression wll plte bck to the wll. If the Brce is too long, ccurtely mesure nd mrk the length of the Brce br to be removed (the Brce br is offset 7mm from the wll inside the Wll plte) unscrew the Compression wll plte nd nut to expose the end of the Brce br nd set side () Cut to length (c). Using level, plumb nd mrk the centre of the Wll plte on the wll. Drill the fixing hole in the wll nd insert the Wll plug. Fix the Wll plte to the wll using the No 8 x 3mm Csk screw ensuring the Rubber wsher (Kit of Prts) is fitted behind the Wll plte (). Ressemble the Compression fitting t the wll side (ensure the Wll plte cover is fitted to the Br t this point). Crefully fit the Brce over the glss pnel nd screw the Brce nut onto the Wll Plte (d). Using spnners, firmly tighten the Brce nut onto the Wll plte until fully tightened (d). Lightly tighten the Brce nut onto the Clmp body t the glss end of the Brce until the Clmp body is fixed to the glss (b). Do not over tighten the Clmp over the glss. Slide the Wll plte cover over the Wll plte ssembly (d).
STAGE 5 AWC PANEL ONLY b AWL 900-300-500 AWL 00-600-800 AWL 500-900 -00 This stge is describing the Wll mount nd Pnel instlltion for model AWC only. Position the Wll mount on to the wll in the desired position. Plese see dimension on Importnt pge for Mx nd Min model sizes. Dimension 900-00mm, 600-800mm or 300-500mm is mesured from the Finished wll surfce in the corner of the enclosure to the outside fce of the AWL pnel Wll mount. Position the Wll mount so tht the djustment slots on the side of the wll mount re fcing inside the product. Plumb the Wll mount for upright nd mrk the fixing holes on the wll in the centre of the slots in the bck fce of the Wll mount. Drill the fixing holes in the wll nd insert the wll plugs. Clen the re. STAGE 6 d c e b Inside Unit h f 00mm OUTSIDE OF UNIT GLASS EDGE PROTECTOR g GLASS TILES/TRAY/FLOOR This stge is describing the fitting of the AWC brce nd the fitting of the Cps, Covers nd Silicon selnt on both AWL nd AWC pnels. AWC model only: To fit the AWC Brce unscrew nd remove the Brce nut end cp (). Unscrew the Clmp body until the Glss clmp esily fits over the glss (b). Plce the Brce crefully on to the top of the AWC glss pnel nd screw the Brce nut t the L-Shped pnel end onto the Glss clmp ssembly (). If the Brce is too long, ccurtely mesure nd mrk the length to be removed, slide the Brce Nut wy t the L-Shped pnel end nd unscrew the Compression fitting (c). Cut the Brce Br to the desired length (c). Ressemble the Compression fitting, nd screw the Brce nut onto the Glss clmp ssembly. Tighten both the Brce nuts t either end of the AWC Brce, Do not over tighten. All models: Fit the Wll mount cover/s (d). Fit the Wll mount top cp/s (e) (Kit of Prts) Apply thin bed of silicon long ll outside joints. Sel the joint on the outside between the Wll mount/s nd the Verticl frme nd 00mm up (f) continue the silicon long the bottom edge of the Wll mount/s nd ll the wy up the outside of the extrusion between the Wll mount/s nd the tiles (f). It is importnt to crete wter-tight sel between the Pnel Glss, Glss Edge Protector (on the bottom edge of ech Pnel) nd the Tiles/Try/Flooring. Apply fillet of Silicone tht covers these prts long ech Glss Pnel (g). Msking tpe cn be used to chieve tidy edge to the selnt (remove the msking tpe immeditely fter pplying). Finlly pply Silicone Selnt ll the wy up the internl joint between front nd side pnels - this must be inside the unit (h). Allow the silicon to cure for 4 hours before using the shower.

MAINTENANCE Mtki Glss Gurd Esy Clen Surfce Protection (optionl) nd Generl Clening Guide Clening Instructions Mtki Glss Gurd llows wter to form minute beds which esily trickle off the surfce of the glss. This mkes the glss esier to clen - the glss does not need to be clened s frequently, but it does require occsionl mintennce. As less clening is required the use of detergents cn be minimised thus helping to protect the environment. The lifespn of the Mtki Glss Gurd is dependnt on the frequency of use of the shower nd the degree of wter hrdness. The combintion of lkline mterils nd humidity ffects glss in n extremely ggressive wy. Do not use blech, lkline, cid-bsed or ggressive nd brsive glss cleners, detergents or household clening products on the glss or frmes. We recommend tht glss is wshed down with clen wter nd soft clen cloth or sponge nd dried off with microfibre cloth. The specil coting is only present on the inside of the glss. Mtki Glss Gurd is gurnteed for yers provided tht the guidelines nd clening instructions re followed. Aluminium nd Chrome prts should be clened with mild non scrtch household clener nd soft cloth or sponge. Do not use cidic-bsed descler products or products which re unsuitble for clening enmelled surfces, including brsive cleners or cleners contining blech or solvents, s the products will effect the nodised frmework. Under no circumstnces use cleners with ph level exceeding 8. Mtki does not recommend the use of 'Leve-on' shower cleners on Mtki Glss Gurd Products. Wter Softeners nd Glss Gurd - Certin types of wter softeners increse the lklinity of the wter due to crry-over of Chloride during re-genertion which cn cuse ggressive wter spots on both untreted nd Glss Gurded glss. If using wter softener we recommend two-cylinder mchine with utomtic re-genertion insted of timer. If single-cylinder wter softener with timer is lredy instlled it is recommended tht fter ech shower excess wter is removed from the glss with squeegee or with micro-fibre cloth. BLEACH WHITE SPIRIT Wsh down with clen wrm wter nd soft clen cloth or sponge. Do not use blech, lkline or cid-bsed, ggressive or brsive clening products.
