The meter designed as battery perated fr Humidity,Air temp., Dew Pint, Wet Bulb, Surface Temp. & Temp. Differential measurement. The sensr is als specially prtected by gear damper device. While the sensr is retracted, the meter will nt wrk. The sensr designed t aut detect the air temp. and humidity if it is nt retracted. The psychrmeter is a micr prcessrbased design. While the sensr is retracted, the air temp. and humidity will nt be displayed n the LCD. Press the gear damper device again t retract the sensr while turn ff the meter. T retract the sensr will help t maintain the sensr away frm dirt. 2

CONTROLS AND INDICATORS LCD DISPLAY Emissivity IR indicatr Battery indicatr Surface temp. Air temp. Air humidity 1) Key - Press t measure surface temp. by activating IR functin. - Released t hld the surface temp. Value. - Press and at the same time t inactivate laser targeting functin r activate targeting functin. 3

2) Key - Press t turn n the meter withut IR value displayed. - Press at least 2 secnds t turn ff the meter - While the meter is n, press again t enter aut-ff time setting and emissivity setting. 3) Key - Press t turn n the back light. - Press again t turn ff the back light. 4) Key - Press t select the peratin mde frm air temp., dew pint t web bulb. - Press fr 2 secnds t shw T1-dew pint. (T1=surface temp.) 5) Key - Press t change temp. unit - Press fr up when setting the autff time and emissivity. - Press and at the same time t disable aut pwer ff functin. 6) Key - Press and at the same time t inactivate laser targeting functin r activate targeting functin. - Press fr dwn while setting the aut-ff time and emissivity. 4

IR THERMOMETER (1) Press the sensr device befre peratin. (2) T turn n the meter by pressing r key. (3) Press key t measure the surface temp. by IR. While IR is wrking, the symbl will appear n LCD. (4) Press + at the same time t inactivate the laser targeting. Press abve keys again t activate laser targeting. PARAMETER SETTING Unit will turn itself ff after 5 minutes. T verride aut pwer ff functin, press +. When " n " appears, release keys and unit nw is in Nn-Sleep Mde. ( Fig. A) The aut pwer ff time frame culd be adjusted frm 5 t 600 secnds. While the meter is n, pressing key t enter setting prcedure. Pressing fr up and fr dwn. Press again t save parameters and enter emissivity setting. (Fig. B) Fig. A Fig. B 5

The emssivity culd be adjustable frm 0.3 t 0.99. Pressing key twice t enter setting prcedure while the meter is n. will flash n the left side. Pressing fr up and fr dwn. Press again t save parameter and back t nrmal. Fig. C & Press key t shw the DP n the LCD. Press again t shw the Wb n the LCD. Press again t shw the air temp. n the LCD. LOW-BATTERY Tw level lw battery indicatin: -Level 1: Battery indicatr will flash when meet level 1. In this situatin, the meter will wrk nrmal hwever users shuld prepare new batteries. -Level 2: Battery indicatr will always display n the LCD while meet lever 2. In this situatin, users need t change batteries immediately. 1. Open the battery cver n the rear side. 2. Remve the expired batteries. 3. Insert new 4pcs AAA batteries and make sure the batteries are inserted with crrect plarity, put n the cver. AC TO DC ADAPTOR The cmpatible AC t DC adaptr is 6~9V, at least 200mA. 6V is the best chice. Please be suggested nly t use 6V adaptr when perating the meter with red laser targeting functin. If using 9V adaptr when the meter red laser targeting functin is active, the red laser mdule might be damaged. 7

CALIBRATION 1.Turn ff the meter and plug the meter prbe int the 33% salt bttle. Pressing + at the same time and then press key as well t turn the meter n. The meter will enter calibratin mde. 2.32.8 will flash n LCD. After 30 minutes, the flashing stps t indicate the 32.8% calibratin prcedure is finished. 3.Mve the meter prbe t the 75% salt bttle and pressing t enter 75.3% calibratin. 4.Als 75.2 will flash n LCD. After 30 minutes the flashing stps t indicate the whle calibratin has been cmpleted, and the calibratin data has been saved in memry. Press key mre than 2 secnd t turn ff meter. Nte: a)yu can exit calibratin withut saving by pressing key mre than 2 sec. befre step 5. b)aut pwer ff is disable in calibratin mde. c)in rder t get high accuracy, yu have better t d the calibratin at 23 degree C. d)t plug the meter prbe int salt bttle, slightly rtate the prbe int bttle and DO NOT push t hard. 8

RS232 SOFTWARE Sftware Using Windw's integrated Hyper- Terminal sftware. Setting the COM prt and the but rate as 9600bps, 8 data bits. Interface f RS232(3.0V level) A.9600 bps, 8 data bits, n parity. B.Frmat: Tx. ASCII cde by every sec. while meter is n. Txxx.xC:Txx.xC:Hxx.x%:Txx.xC:Txx.xCLRCCRLF st Where: The 1 value is IR temp., the nd rd 2 value is Air temp., the 3 value is th Humidity, the 4 value is Wet bulb, th the 5 value is Dew pint. The x here means ne f {0 1 2 9 -} C.Frmat fr errr value: E01N value; E02 Overflw; E03 Underflw. The unit fr errr cde is n. Ex. If IR is disable, then tx. TROUBLESHOOTING LCD DISPLAY Tp Middle Bttm First f all, the LCD right side is divided int three parts fr easy explanatin. 1.? Pwer n but n display. a)make sure the time f pressing key is mre than 0.1 secnd. b)check the batteries are in place and in gd cntact with crrect plarity. c)replace a new battery and try again. d)mve away the battery fr ne minute andput back again. 2.? Pwer n, LCD n, but n display immediately. a)circuit errr in RH measurement channel; return the meter t the dealer fr repairing. 3.? Display disappear a)check whether the lw battery indicatr displayed befre Display disappear, if yes, replace a new battery. b)turn n the meter by pressing + key t disable aut pwer ff functin fr lng time using. 4.? TOP display E9 (Calibratin failure) a)check whether the lw battery indicatr displayed befre calibratin, if yes, use new batteries and try again. b)make sure the gd sealing when the meter prbe plugged int the salt bttle. c)make sure the free air temperature is within 23.2 degree C when calibratin. 10

MIDDLE display E3 a)rm temp. is ut f the range (<-20 degree C). b)if always display E3 while temp. range is -20 t 50 degree C, this means there is a circuit errr in temp. This warranty cvers nrmal peratin and des nt cver battery, misuse, abuse, alteratin, tampering, neglect, imprper maintenance r damage resulting frm leaking batteries.
