Designed by ~ Annette Green Supplies: 1 ea Imagine 12x12 Collection Pack 1 pk Imagine Chipboard 1 ea Antique Brass Door Plates & knobs 1 ea Decades Dye Pad : Robin's Egg Light Blue (4501717) (4501719) (4501295) (41008) Additional Supplies: 1 sheet 12 x 12 Medium weight white chipboard/matboard 12 sheets 8 ½ x 11 Printer paper (ivory) 48 2mm Elastic cord (ivory) Tools, Adhesives & Ink: Paper trimmer, scissors, scoring tool, bone folder, stapler, ruler, washi tape at least 1 wide (or masking tape), stamp block, piercing tool, Crop-a-dile Corner Chomper, Crop-adile punch/eyelet setter, sanding block or crafter's file, ink blending foam, adhesives (wet, dry and metal), foam tape, scrap piece of foam core board measuring approx: 1 x 8 Optional Supplies: Traveler's Notebook G45 Create Yourself Stamp Set Notes: (4501707) All dimensions are width x height unless noted Ink paper and chipboard edges using ink blending tool Directions: 1. Insert the two brads into the brass door plate and adhere three chipboard circles. Use the large hole of the Crop-a-dile tool to punch through a chipboard square and insert the door knob, leaving space between for the elastic to fit around later (see inset photo). 2. Adhere the "Imagine" chipboard tag to the large chipboard oval. Place a small round gear sticker over the die-cut hole as shown. pg 1 of 5

3. Cut one 1¼ x 8¾ and two 4½ x 8¾ pieces of medium weight chipboard. Before joining them, punch holes in the narrow piece with the small hole on the Crop-a-dile tool as follows: Set the stopper of the tool (below the small hole) at ½, then punch three evenly spaced holes along the top and bottom. Release the stopper and punch one hole in the center as shown. Join the pieces with wide washi tape on both sides. Score between the joints with a bone folder. Use a corner rounder to round the outer corners. 4. Adhere a 11 x 8¾ piece (B-side) of Create Yourself, trim as needed, and gently score between the joints again. Re-punch the holes with the Crop-a-dile. For the center one, use a pencil or piercing tool. This is the FRONT of the notebook. 5. Cut two 4 x 8¼ pieces of Create Yourself for the front and back covers, rounding two corners of each then adhere in place as shown. 6. Flip the notebook to the INSIDE. Cut one 1¼ x 8¾ and two 4½ x 8¾ pieces (B-side) of Imagine and adhere to the panels as shown. Trim as needed. Re-punch the holes. From Castles in the Air, cut out the Beautiful Dreamer, Everything You Can Imagine, and Spread Your Wings... cut-aparts around the blue outline. Adhere on three sides to create pockets. *Optional: Stamp a corner flourish in upper corners. 7. Punch a small hole on the inside right and insert a 5 length of 2mm elastic cord. Tie into a knot on the inside as shown. This will wrap around the door knob later to hold the notebook closed. 8. Using the remainder of the elastic cord, follow the diagram to weave through the holes. Red arrows show the cord entering from the outside of the notebook, black arrows show the inside. Start by inserting the cord into the upper left hole from the outside, leaving 10 of slack. Go down to the lower left hole, insert, then come back through the center hole. Go up through the top center hole then over and through the upper right hole. Go down through lower right hole. pg 2 of 5

9. Your two excess tails should be about the same length at this point. If not, make adjustments now, then insert the top tail through the top center hole (it s a tight fit, so use a piercing tool or small stylus to help push through) then go down and insert through the center hole so it comes out at the outer spine. Repeat this step for the bottom tail as indicated by arrows. 10. Lay the notebook open and use the center elastic tails to tie three small chipboard tags together. Adhere the metal and chipboard elements from Step 1 & 2 as shown, making sure the door knob unit lines up with the elastic loop on the back cover. Cut a 4 x ⅞ border strip from Adventure Beckons and adhere across cover, then adhere Dream chipboard tab at center as shown. Set aside to dry. 11. Cut a 8½ x 10 piece of Beautiful Dreamer, Spread Your Wings, and Futuristic Fantasy. Onto the B-sides, score down the center at 4⅛ then turn the paper sideways and score at 2½ for a fold-up pocket. Round all four corners, then adhere the pockets on the outside edges only. 12. Cut 12 pieces of plain ivory paper 8¼ x 7½. Make three stacks of four and fold each in half. Round the outer two corners as shown. 13. Insert each ivory page stack into the three pattern papers with pockets. These are the signatures. Adorn with stickers on the covers of each. 14. Adorn the back sides with stickers. (Note: the tab stickers hanging off the page are also joined by a compatible sticker on the inside, shown in the coming photos.) pg 3 of 5

15. Open a signature to the centerfold and insert two staples through the stack from the inside with a scrap piece of foam core or cardboard underneath. It s important to staple right onto the center-fold line. 16. Pull the signature straight up off of the corrugated cardboard. Flip the signature over and carefully press the staple prongs flat with a bone folder. - Signature : 1-19. Center: Cut three hot-airballoon postage stamps from Adventure Beckons. From B-side of Up and Away, cut Imagine (5¾ x 1 ), Believe (3⅝ x 1⅛ ), and Create Your Own Dream (3⅞ x 1⅛ ). Adhere each word and postage stamp to the centerfold page of each signature and slip the signatures into the elastic bands. (Details for each signature in upcoming photos.) - Signature : 2-17. Front: Use stickers to adorn the top edges of pockets. *Optional: stamp images onto the pages as desired. 20. Front cover: stamping (shown above). 21. Back cover: 18. Back: stickers and 22. Centerfold: details. pg 4 of 5

- Signature : 3 23. Cover 27. Cut apart elements from Castles in the Air to place into pockets on inside front cover. 28. Cut more from Castles in the Air for the pocket on inside back cover, then cut a 3 x ¾ label from Adventure Beckons and adhere in place. 24. Back: 25. Centerfold: details. 29. Close the notebook and bring elastic loop around to the door knob to secure closed. 26. Each signature will look like this when inserted under the elastic bands. Your Imagine Traveler's Notebook is now complete! pg 5 of 5
