2 Hinges,Latches and Catches in your Airstream Bumps, pulling, gravity and time can have an affect on hinges and latches. Adjustments will need be needed. Tools needed- Phillips Screw Driver

4 Euro Hinge Adjustment The adjustment of concealed kitchen cabinet hinges may baffle you when you first set your eyes on the cabinet hinge mechanism but in reality they are very easy to adjust once you know which screw does what. Then with bullet portion installed in Catch close door. This will leave a mark in masking tape where latch should be installed.

13 Main door hard to latch What can affect door adjustment? *Is trailer level? Use of stabilizers and leveling blocks can affect door alignment as it can twist shell if not level.* Striker bolt alignment out of adjustment---(striker bolt is adjustable). Screen door out of adjustment and rubbing frame or not letting it close flush creating pressure on door. Main door hinge loose ( hinge bolts) this can affect striker alignment and gap between door and frame Main door has come open at some point and frame contour changed 1.check for sheared rivets on interior skin of door. *Remember when using the stabilizers on your Airstream be sure to check the fit of your main door before and after extending stabilizers, you can actually affect the fit of the main door if you don t level side to side and front to back.

17 Main Door Hinge Pin with C Clip Airstream has added a groove to the hinge pin that accepts a C clip that is installed at the top hinge joint once the pin has been inserted into the castings. The part # for the main door hinge pin is & the C clip is This hinge pin will also work on most Classic Motorhome door hinges as well.

18 Main Door Hinge Pin Question How do I keep the main door hinge pin from working out? Make sure you lubricate the hinge pin at the joints between the inner and outer hinge joints. If the door is not lubricated on a regular basis (once a month), the pin can over time, begin to collect dirt and or oxidize. The door hinges will then start to bind and can cause the pin to move in the casting versus pivoting on the hinge pin. The symptoms will be a door that open hard or squeaks when opening.

21 Installing a Cam Lock for Water Heater Door Cam Lock Spring and Clip Insert Cam Lock clip and spring in the hole from the back side of water heater bracket. Push clip through water heater bracket until narrow portion of clip is visible.

22 Now take cam lock tab and install over clip at narrow portion on side of clip. Flip tab away from bracket and release pressure on the spring and clip. Reverse the procedure to remove a cam lock

30 Window Gaskets Sticking A Reminder-Windows sticking? A question that gets asked quite often is the question of window gaskets sticking and what can I do to prevent this from happening. Several months of having your windows in the closed and locked position can lead to dirt and the resins from the rubber building up around the edge of the glass causing the glass to stick to the rubber. When trying to open a window that is stuck, never pry around the edge of the window with hard objects such as knives or screw drivers. Use something flexible. If it won t open take something like a credit card or plastic spreader and insert between glass and frame starting at corner and slide along bottom towards other corner..

31 303 Aerospace Protectant To prevent window gaskets from s9cking, wash the window gasket with dishwasher soap to remove the dirt and resins, once clean and dry, apply a thin coat of a product such as 303 Aerospace Protectant.
