This Leitz tool system can be used to make all finger joint profiles and individual special profiles to satisfy customers specific needs. The emphasis is on economical operation with ProFix Plus. The ProFix tool system can be resharpened and guarantees constant profiles and diameters until the blade reaches the end of its life. Due to the constant chip removal geometry, the finger joint and fit quality remain constant too. Timeconsuming machine adjustments are rendered unnecessary. Easy cutter changeover requiring no special tools means that the tools are ready for production without delay after repairs or product changeovers. Appropriate HW grades are available for special workpiece materials such as OSB panels. The ProFix F tool has been designed for flat finger jointing (single or doublesided) and double end profiles as well as for vertical finger jointing machines. 6

The Leitz ProFix F cutter head system with exchangeable gluedprofile knives is noted for its flexibility. Product changeovers are possible without lengthy machine standstill times or readjustment of the crosscutting saw, which permits batch manufacturing at a high level of available machine capacity. Cutter height adjustment means that accuracy of fit can be varied for different kinds of wood. With the Leitz ProFix F system, tightsealing Softline profiles become possible. Shoulder joint knives can be used in any position for butt joints. The Leitz finger joint head with reversible knives is noted for its adaptability. This tool technology can be used for processing wood thicknesses between and 60 mm. All options can be combined at your production location with the Leitz cutter head: continuous finger joints, ideal for strips with shoulder joints, shoulder joints in central position or in the joint base, or butt joints either alternating or on the same level. The HW finger joint cutter head with reversible, resharpenable knives is ideal for narrow strips with shoulder joints followed by dividing cuts for narrow strips that are often separated from thicker strips after glueing all in different dimensions produced specifically for every customer. The Leitz finger joint head with reversible knives can be used to produce all these versions (see illustration). This tool is also available for thicker woods upon request. In accordance with VBG 7j 7(7) accident prevention regulations, these tools may only be used on spindle moulders if a feed device with clamping fixture is provided. The VR/VS backlash ratio must not exceed 0.. Shoulder cutter combinations are available upon request. Upon request, we will also make a separate offer for finger joint combinations compatible with the following tool systems: the finger joint cutter range with fixed equipment and the finger joint cutter head range with knives that can be resharpened and exchanged. 9
