1 Thank you for purchasing the TriTrix MTM Transmission Line cabinet kit. This cabinet kit was precision cut using CNC machinery for the best possible fit and finish. With a little time and patience, your finished product will provide years of enjoyment. Please follow the following instructions for the best possible results. Package contains A) Two front baffles B) Four notched side panels C) Two cabinet tops, two cabinet bottoms D) Two lower rear cabinet/transmission line mouth pieces (featuring two binding post holes) E) Four lower internal transmission line waveguides/braces F) Two internal central transmission line waveguides/braces G) Four upper internal cabinet braces Two bags of 50 wood screws Required tools and consumables: Drill 5/64" drill bit Rubber mallet Sanding block and/or electric finishing sander Wood glue Wood clamps (you can never have too many of these) Wood filler

2 Instructions: The baffles (A) in the kit have the inner section of the routed driver recesses attached. This is to preserve the routed edges during shipping. The inner sections are easily removed by hand. Remove these sections and discard.

3 Sand off the excess material left behind. Apply a generous amount of wood glue to one side of a front baffle.

4 Place one of the side panels (B) flat on a large working surface. Align a front baffle with the top side of a side panel, and clamp into place. Ensure that the exterior corners created are flush.

5 While the glue cures (see wood glue container for approximate times), install the included wood screws attaching the baffle (A) to the side panel (B). Wood screw pilot holes have been pre-drilled into the cabinet panels for proper placement. Important: Prior to installing the wood screws, use the exterior pilot holes to drill interior pilot holes into the adjacent cabinet panel using a 5/64" drill bit. This will help to prevent panel splitting. It is recommended that T-nuts (not included) be installed prior to cabinet construction. Prior to wood screw installation, drill an internal pilot hole. Use the exterior pilot hole as a guide.

6 Apply wood glue to the side and front edge of a top panel (C) and clamp into place. Ensure outer edges are flush. While the wood glue cures, drill internal pilot holes and install the wood screws attaching the top (C) panel to the baffle (A) and side panel (B). Apply wood glue to the side and front edge of a bottom panel (C) and clamp into place. Ensure outer edges are flush. While the wood glue cures, drill internal pilot holes and install the wood screws attaching the bottom panel to the baffle and the side panel.

7 Apply wood glue to the side and front edge of a lower rear cabinet/transmission line mouth piece (D) and clamp into place. Ensure outer edges are flush. While the wood glue cures, drill internal pilot holes and install the wood screws attaching the panel (D) to the bottom (C) and side cabinet panel (B). With the lower rear cabinet/transmission line mouth piece installed, place glue on the lower internal transmission line waveguides/braces (E). Using a rubber mallet, tap the braces until properly seated. Do not screw these panels into place until after the second side panel (B) has been installed.

8 Prior to installing the internal central transmission line waveguide/brace (F), glue and seat the two upper internal cabinet braces (G) into their respective notches using a rubber mallet. Do not screw these braces into place until after the second side panel has been installed. Glue and install the internal central transmission line waveguide/brace (F) into place using a rubber mallet for proper seating. Do not screw into place until after the second side panel has been installed.

9 Prior to installing the second side panel (B), apply a liberal amount of wood glue on the cabinet panels. Place the second side panel (B) onto the cabinet ensuring that the bottom edges are flush. Clamp the bottom of the side panel onto the lower section of the cabinet. Use a rubber mallet to tap the panel into place ensuring that the cabinet braces and waveguides seat into their respective notches..

10 Once the internal panels are firmly seated in place, clamp the cabinet side panel in place. At this time you may install the wood screws for the internal braces, and any remaining wood screws. Once the wood glue has sufficiently cured, use wood filler to cover all of the screws.
