Distance to Telstar group of claims 20 miles Made this round trip at least 60 times, also made several trips from Merritt to Cache Creek a distance of 70 miles. Spent at least 60 days doing general prospecting, sampling and searching fok old posts and lines. The British Columbia Department of Mines and Petroleum Resources minerals testwas not available for me to take. 4 a PROSPECTING OBSERVATIOES Re: Gold, Sunnyboy, Shannon Spitfire Mineral Claims Pro spec ting Report#5091 The following is a description of my observations made while prospecting the above listed mineral claims. All the outcrops examined were comprised of volcanic rocks. No quartz veins worth sampling were noted except in the areas sampled. About seventy-five percent of the claim area is overburden and the north-western area was burned over thirty or forty years ago. In certain areas the second L' growth is quite heavy. Some sections of the veins are quite rusty and these gave the best values in gold. Also there was some copper mineralization. L. E. Peckham
