1 BROOKLYN TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL LOTE Department COURSE OF STUDY in FRENCH: FFS 65 (Level III) Fall Term Overview In the first term of third-year French, students review key elements of first- second-year French (Checkpoint B 1 ), begin the B 2 (third-year) Checkpoint sequence along the continuum of the New York State Learning Stards in LOTE. The two stards, communication cultural understing, are integrated through performance-based tasks. Differentiated instruction is used to meet the needs of all students in a student-centered environment, to support all students in achieving the learning outcomes. Materials Text: Discovering French Today (Level Three), ancillary materials to the text : audio CDs, unit DVD program, workbooks. Authentic listening reading materials from the target language cultures, such as online sources, newspapers, magazines, music, film, various realia. Teacher-made material.
