34 URBAN SHIELD AND CONNECTED TEACHER Connected Teacher was deployed at Palomares Elementary school which was a scenario involving active shooters within a school. The results were very positive indicating that the badges did save time and assist in communications during these types of events. Some feedback: So far...nothing but praise from users, command staff and selected VIPs who saw these scenarios in action including the folks from Sandy Hook elementary. Alameda County Sheriff Greg Ahern, Under Sheriff Rich Lucia and Assistant Sheriff Casey Nice expressed to me their effusive support of Motorola s support of their Urban Shield exercises.
