Protect astronauts on the ISS and satellites up to GEO. Orbit determination 100,000 times more precise than by optical means. 30 NASA Slide KSC courtesy: suas Mike Craters Downs of the Moon Summary Objectives Completed UAS flights at Craters of the Moon, Idaho, were the first in the country approved by the NPS after June 2014 ban went into effect. Successfully completed 41 UAS flights over lava flows at Kings Bowl, Inferno Chasm, and near Craters of the Moon visitor center Demonstrated the types of data suas s could provide as part of SSERVI FINESSE proposed work. Data included detailed image overlays, DEM models, remote terrain inspection, and 3D models. This is year 1 of a 5 year SSERVI project, utilized as a checkout of the capabilities and data processing tools. NASA Airworthiness / Pilot Certification Multi-rotor vehicles approved via NASA and KSC airworthiness processes. KSC pilots and observers trained per NPR C (NASA s Aircraft Operations Management Manual) requirements. Flew UAS missions under NASA/FAA COA advisory system with NOTAM s issued out of Salt Lake City (SLC).
