2 Planner Report This predictive Wi-Fi heat map report which simulates the predictive Wi-Fi access point coverage available at this property is based on the site floor plans. AirMagnet Planner software simulates access points (APs) as well as antenna and building characteristics to predict the number of access points needed and their respective locations before an actual Wi-Fi deployment. This report provides real-time access point signal coverage for the floor plan and recommends the number of access points needed and their location on a floor plan (marked by numbers in red). The report provides information for the access points being deployed: Name/model of the access point Planned location co-ordinates for the access point Height of the access point/antenna above floor Type of antenna and its specification About Ruckus Ruckus intelligent managed wireless systems comprise a ZoneDirector WLAN controller and multiple ZoneFlex wireless access points incorporating adaptive antenna to detect user devices and concentrate Wi-Fi signals. ZoneFlex 7372 dual-band wireless access points operate on concurrent frequencies (2.4GHz & 5GHz) to automatically select channels for the highest throughput potential. Each wireless access point incorporates patented BeamFlex technology and adaptive antenna arrays, to direct each n packet over the best performing signal path which provides up to a 4x improvement in Wi-Fi performance, signal gain and reception. Planner AP List The AP List displays information regarding the placement of APs, including their name, channel, antenna type, and more. This provides input to a bill of materials list of the equipment required to implement the site plan. Planner AP Location Map The AP Location Map displays a grid overlaid on top of the site map, to describe the optimum locations to place APs, as shown in the Planner AP List. The APs are displayed numerically and the numbers correspond to the numbers listed in the AP List for each floor. Planner Signal Coverage The Signal Coverage map displays a colour coded map that shows the expected Wi-Fi signal coverage (in dbm) at each point on the floor plan. It provides an overview of the plan and the projected network's ability to provide adequate signal to all necessary areas and ensures that there are no coverage gaps in areas where Wi-Fi coverage is required. 3 Planner AP List The table below lists the properties for each AP placed on the plan, including its name, location (as obtained from the grid on the Planner AP Location Map), height, antenna type and angle of orientation, channel, and power. Note that some APs are dual-band. In these instances information is shown for both bands, 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz. The Ruckus-7372 access points are Power over Ethernet (PoE) capable and will need to be connected via a switch, we suggest a DrayTek VigorSwitch P-1090 (8-port PoE switch, 150W max power). Alternatively the Ruckus-7372 access points can be individually powered using Ruckus PSUs. This provides input to a bill of materials list of the equipment required to implement the site plan. Alternatively DrayTek s VigorSwitch P-2261 may be more appropriate for larger deployments which provide 24x PoE ports (185W max) with Layer 2 management services. The Ruckus 7372 access points, Zone Directors and the DrayTek switch are described in detail with associated support documentation on our website Page 3 of 9

4 Planner AP Location Map Ground Floor The image below displays the site map with a grid overlay to provide a means of describing each AP's location (for example, an AP placed in the top left corner of the grid will be described by location "1 A"). The APs are numbered in the sequence that they were placed on the plan; these numbers correspond to the APs listed in the Planner AP List (earlier in this report). Page 4 of 9

5 Planner Signal Coverage Ground Floor The image below displays the signal coverage (in dbm) at each point in the map layout. Refer to the legend below the map for the dbm values corresponding to each colour region. As a general rule, regions with signal strengths below 67 dbm (indicated by grey on the image) provide insufficient coverage for standard use (this value may vary depending on user requirements, service level agreements, applications used, number of users serviced, etc.). APs are displayed in their planned locations and reflect the specified power and antenna properties. Note that an active Wi-Fi area can incorporate a variety of environmental factors that can vary throughout the day and may adversely affect projected RF coverage. Page 5 of 9
