1 Create a new document. 8.5 x 11, 300 dpi. Save as TV Aquarium Your Name. Create TV shape. Use Pen Tool, Convert Point Tool and Direct Selection Tool. We need side shapes to create patches of light and reflections. The easiest way to make the TV shape is to open up the TV image example, create a new layer and trace the shape. Trace the larger center section first. Fill the selection with any color you would like your TV to be. Duplicate the layer. Make a new layer and trace the side of the TV and fill it with the same color. Load selection for front TV panel and fill selection with linear gradient. Make the gradient a light shade and dark shade of the color of the TV. Make sure to name the layers.

2 Load selection for the front side of TV (Ctrl + Click the tumbnail). Choose Select > Modify > Feather (4). Apply a soft round brush to the right edge of selection to shadow the front side of TV. To do this you will need to set a clipping mask, make sure the thumbnail is selected and paint along the edge with a dark shade of the TV color, lower the opacity to create a realistic shadow. 3 Now for the TV Screen: Create a new shape for TV screen using Pen Tool, Convert Point Tool and Direct Selection Tool. Load selection for TV screen and create a black to white liner gradient. Duplicate screen layer. To create the rim around the screen: Click on the layer of the duplicate TV front panel. Load selection of the TV screen (Control click on the thumbnail of the TV screen.) Choose select inverse and delete. This should leave a shape cut from the duplicate TV front panel. With it still selected choose Select, Modify and increase the size of the shape make sure this layer has been moved on top of the gradient TV front. Now you should have a rounded frame around the screen. Apply the following layer style effects to this shape.

7 Insert a picture of water with bubbles into the Photoshop document and cut it out in form of TV screen. (Drag the water bubbles into the document. Name it bubbles. With the bubbles layer selected, control click the TV screen thumbnail, this will select the outline of the screen. Choose Select, Inverse and delete. Now you should have the bubbles layer cut to match the TV screen layer. Apply Overlay Blending Mode and Opacity 50%. Duplicate this layer. Name it Bubbles 2. Change the opacity of Bubbles 2 to 100%.

8 To give the screen a glassy edge look: Duplicate Screen layer once again, place this layer above bubbles2 layer.

9 Adjust layer Fill 0% Apply gray/black linear gradient stroke (6 px). Add a Bevel and Emboss layer style effect to the layer. Now to add a little depth: Create a new layer, name it floor. Use your rectangle tool and draw a rectangle and fill it with white. Slide this layer between the two bubble layers and adjust the opacity. You may want to apply a blur (filter, blur) or use a eraser with a low opacity to make the edges fade or feather.

11 Paste broken glass image. If you use black-and-white broken glass image, apply Screen Blending Mode. Fill the hole area of the glass with any local color in a new layer. Load selection for created shape and delete it. Apply soft black and translucent brush in a new layer just like in the example below.

12 Make buttons using Ellipse Tool and Rectangle Tool. Apply the following layer style effects for circle.

15 Apply the following layer style effect for rectangle.

16 Apply perspective transformation for second button. Edit > transformation > Perspective.

17 Insert flowing water and splashes. Apply Luminosity Blending Mode. Add Vector Mask to flowing water layer. Erase superfluous areas of water using soft black brush, just like in the screen shot below.

18 Create rounded rectangle, using Rounded Rectangle Tool, Radius 30 px. Apply Perspective Transformation to this shape.

19 Load selection for rectangle and fill it with the following pattern (black lines on transparent background) in a new layer. Go to Select > Modify > Contract (4-6 px). Select > Inverse, clear selected area of the lines. Load selection for lines (Ctrl + Click). Remove selected area from white rectangle.

20 Apply the following layer style adjustments to white rectangle.

21 Apply Pattern Overlay to black lines.

22 Draw light spots and reflections. The reflections creation process is described here.

23 Draw antenna using Pen Tool and Convert Point Tool.

24 Apply preset Mercury layer style effect without Drop Shadow.

25 Make TV legs. Use Rectangle Tool and perspective transformation, or use Pen Tool. Apply Gun Metal Neutral layer style effect without stroke.

26 In order to make shadow, draw rectangle and apply Gaussian Blur Filter, Multiply Blending Mode and Opacity 65%.

27 Draw legs shadow; apply Gaussian Blur Filter and Vector Mask with black and white linear gradient. Insert water drops surface image. Make the image black-and-white, choose Image > Adjustments > Channel Mixer > Monochrome. Go to Image > Adjustments > Levels > Move black and white markers to the center a little bit.

28 Apply Screen Blending Mode to this layer and duplicate it.

29 Draw a puddle using Brush Tool. Adjust Fill 0%. Apply layer style effects just like in the example below.
