1 PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST - RULES WINE AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT HAproWINE 1 Project partners announce a photography competition under the following rules: First-Participants Any person can participate, with no age or geographic restrictions. Every participant, with their agreement to these rules is declaring d and guaranteeing to the contest organizers that he/she is the only holder of o copyrights of every photo submitted. Second - Categories Every participant can submit up to five photos to their correspondingg category: - Photographers up to 16 years old (inclusive) - Photographers older than t 16 years old Third The photos Photos submitted to the contest must be original workss and unpublished and never before awardedd under any category in any other competition. Photo s subject must be in line with the contest title t Wine e and Sustainable Development, being eligible photos related to any stage in the life cycle of wine: vineyard, wineries elaboration, packaging, distribution, selling, consumption,, end of life and waste management. 1 eu Project partners: Fundación Patrimonio Natural de d Castilla y León, Fundación Centro Tecnológico Miranda de Ebro, Cátedra Unescoo de Ciclo de Vida y Cambioo Climático, PE International.

2 Contest organizers reserve the rightt to refuse any photography thatt is not in line with the proposed subject. The organizers will never allow into the contest any photography which contains elements that can be considered to be against the fundamental rights of peoplee and/or any other living being. Photomontages or retouched photos (apart from the basic brightness and adjustment) will also be refused. contrast Forth Submission guidelines: technical conditions, format and deadline The submitted photos can be black and white or colour. There are two them: main ways to submit works. Every participant must choose one of 1. Via JPEG format (. jpg o. jpeg), size file under 1MB. In case original works are over 1MB and/or in a different format they must be transformed before submission. This transformed version is the one that must be sent via e- mail (one photo per up to five photos) to the following address:

3 The bodyy of every must include the following date associated to the enclosed picture: - Photography title - Author s personal data: author s full name, complete address, ID/Passportt number, contact phone number (cell phone if possible) and/or contact . - Capture place and datee (if known) - A short explanation off the shooting process, the meaning of the image, etc. Only the selected 25 best photoss will be part of ann exhibition. At thatt stage, the organizers will ask the author too provide higher resolution images for publication or display purposes (original file) with quality enough for printing in a week time since the organizers communication. Organizers will be in charge of printing those photos in a 70x55cm size, the minimum resolution in a JPG format must be 72dpi. If these requirements are not fulfilled, the organizers might choose another of the participating works. In case the image includes identifiable people, an authorization must be included together with the photo and the rest of requested information, onee signed document per portrayed person (signed by parents or legal tutors in i case of minors), according to the model in annex II. Submission period starts on September 11 th, 2013 and the deadline will be 23:59h (Spanish time) Novemberr 3 rd, Every work arriving after the deadline, no matter the consignment date, will be refused. The reception off the different photos will be notified to senders. Fifth- Prizes and use rights For every category (up to 16 yearss old and over 16 years old), there will be three awards, consisting of books (quality publications), Castillaa y León products and tickets to enjoy different nature activities in the Natural Areas of Castilla y León Network. Every eligible photo will be part of a photo gallery in the Internet. The best 25 photos, according to the jury, willl be printedd to create an exhibition that will be shown in the PRAE building (Propuestas Ambientales Educativas Environmental Education Proposals Center) in the Spanish city of Valladolid after the end of the contest and will later be exhibited in the Casas dell Parque (Visitors ( Centres) of the Natural Areas of Castilla y León Network. It is compulsory to personally collect the prize. For minors, the parents or legal tutors is compulsory y. presence of their

4 In any case, participants in the contest agree to the following: : that HAproWINE partners, in the framework of the project, be granted usage of thee submitted photos for reproducing, distributing, making public and transforming purposes according to the Spanish Intellectual Property Law, with non-profit purposes andd for the maximum duration stated in the aforementioned Law, always with clear reference to name of the author and source. Usage of the images is limited to thee HAproWINE project website ( and to any of the paperr or electronic publications related to the project (reports included). Sixth - Judges A representative of every of the four partners of the expert photographer will act as judges for this contest. HAproWINE project plus an Contest resultss are scheduled to be announced on the website of the project ( in November 7 th, 2013 in the news section. The winners will be previously notified. Awards will be presented on a publicc act, the date to be announcedd together with the winners of the contest. Seventh - Plagiarism Participants must hold all applicablee rights to the final image i submitted. Organizers are exempted from any responsibility due to plagiarism or any other current law transgression in which participants may incur. Eighth - Participant s data Participants under 18 years of age require the permissionn of a parent or guardian and are therefore requested to send, together with the photos and personal data, a Minors participation consent signedd by parents or legal tutors (according to model see Annex I), giving permission to the minor s participation in thee contest, with the total agreement to the rules and everything stated on them.

5 According to the Spanish Law 2, alll personal data obtained for the purpose of this contest will be stored on a file that iss responsibility of Fundación Patrimonio Natural de Castilla y León with the only aim of managing the activity ruled by this document. All necessary data could be communica ated to the media andd could be made public in the website of Fundación Patrimonio Natural de Castilla y Leon. In anyy case, those data will be handled according to the above mentioned current Spanish Law on data protection. Every participant could exercise the rights of access, update, amendment and erasure of personall information writing to Fundación Patrimonio Natural de Castilla y León. Ninth General rules By entering the contest, participants s agree fully and without conditions to the present rules and agreee as well with the judges criteria both for the contest award and for the interpretation and execution of the present rules.
