When I was watching NEW s or Reading newspaper, Heard that ATM THEFT happened and watchmen was unconscious mode due to beaten by robberies. Like this always heard it. So, I would like to provide a solution to prevent a Theft event by using sensors. I would like to make low cost system, I choose sensors. By arranging sensors in appropriate place and get the data and given to the control. controller will process the received data from sensors and will send the information to the local police station, Bank Manager etc., Sending information is nothing but a message using GSM module. GSM 900/ GSM809/ GSM 300 will be used to send message to the registered numbers. Registered can be alter. Door will be closed, Spray machine will ON, smoke or gas will be released from the machine. This is due to make Thief in unconscious mode. Door and Spray mechanism will be shown as a DC MOTOR/Stepper Motor/Servo Motor rotation in the implementation mode. 2 Kande Archana, Dr. P Bhaskara Reddy and Ramesh Jogula 1. INTRODUCTION As I already mentioned about the situations are happening at most of the ATM centres. Here sensors are used to make a product in a low cost and it will lead to use at every ATM centres. This lead to avoid the accidents. So many parameters are taken care to capture the event and alert the concerned persons to avoid theft and catch the thief s. Components: Controller: AVR based controller is used and it is operated at 16MHz frequency. Arduino Software is used to code and program. GSM Module: This is used to send messages to the concerned mobiles. Motors: are used to operate Door and Spray Sensors: PIR sensor, Obstacle Sensor, Vibration sensor, Metal detector, Line sensor. 2. BLOCK DIAGRAM It will lead the process flow of the product. 3. EXPERIMENTAL WORK editor@iaeme.com

3 ATM Robbery Prevention by Using Sensor Devices 4. HARDWARE RESOURCES Sensor plays a major role in automation level, without this information we cannot do anything. So, every environmental sensor is more important. Output will be given to the controller, and would take the decision accord to the given instruction by the user. PIR Sensor PIR sensor is made up of two material slots on the top of the sensor. It is detected the IR radiation in the form of heat. When there is a human or any object moves in front of the detected area. When there is an object falls on the detected area, the sensor reads it and gives the data in the form of logic data. When moves in front of the sensor, the heat objects is detected from object and gives the data. Obstacle Sensor Obstacle is works on the transceiver mode. TX and RX are arranged in such a manner to detect the object in desired area like 1cm to 8 cm. TX LED It is an infrared led, it transmits the light in the frequency of infra red region. These IR rays are invisible to human. We can also use visible light, but it creates the disturbance to the outside world. RX LED It is a photodiode, when ever lights fall on the top of the LED, which converts light energy into electrical energy editor@iaeme.com

When white colour surface is there, light will be reflected on to the receiver, so there is NO line, when black surface is there, light will NOT be reflected, black colour absorbs the light. So there is line. From this, when the machine crossed from the line, we call it as event has been taking place. REFLECTION NO REFLECTION Metal Detector Sensor This sensor is used to detect the metals are carrying, or kept at the grounds, walls, surrounding areas. Sensor would able to detect the range up-to 30 cm depth. If required to detect more than the distance. Would prefer more sensitivity based sensors. It works with principal of magnetism, generally magnet attracts any type of metal. When power gives to the inductor, Magnetism will be generated. And the same current will be flows to the coil in reverse flow, some deflection occurs at the proximity sensor. And it gives decision. Inductor coil used for Metals. Capacitor used for plastics. Vibration sensor It s is a sensor where physical action detects and sends the electrical signal. Works on the principal of micro-electro-mechanical system editor@iaeme.com

5 ATM Robbery Prevention by Using Sensor Devices It is placed on the top of the machine, if anybody hits on the top or side, vibration sensor detects the force applied on it and it gives data to us. And it is taken by controller and it collects all of the data and gives the appropriate result. GSM It is a mobile communication, used for both messages and voices. Currently used for networking as well. In our product, we are using this module for sending messages to the desired numbers. First of all we need to set-up the GSM into the write mode; this can be done by using AT commands. And the pins connections will be done as shown below, baud rate is MOTOR DRIVER Motor driver is used to drive the motors, as we cannot drive the motors directly from the microcontroller, because generally controller is works on the 5V voltage and current is 20mA. This current and voltage would not be sufficient enough to drive the motor to rotate. For this reasons, we will be using motor drivers to drive the motors. In our application we are using DC 12V, 45 rpm motor. So, driver is to able drive 12V and it requires 1 amp of current. 6. SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS An AVR based controller is used to process the sensor data and controls the event. It is chosen due to make the decisions in less time, and operating at 5V with 16MHz crystal oscillator. It got 32 input and output pins. Some pins are used for inputs and outputs. Arduino software is used for both compile and programming. PIR sensor & Obstacle sensor First sensor: It is integrated at the top of the machine to detect the motion. Second sensor: It is integrated at the middle of the machine. Third sensor: It is integrated at the bottom of the box. If obstacle sensors activated and PIR sensor activated, suspicious action will be detected accordingly. For ex: If robbery is happening, person would try to open at the bottom of the box. Obstacle and PIR will be activated due to the motion. This means, a suspicious action is happening. Border will be given at the bottom of the machine. When thief tries to open the machine and this may lead to shifting the machine due to inconvenience to him. So, there will be a chance of moving the machine editor@iaeme.com

It will happen only when tries to hammered or pulling etc., Considering all these scenarios and examined and would get a conclusion of robbery is happening at the ATM centre. Immediate actions Door will be closed, Smoke or Chemical spray will be activated due to make person in unconscious mode for minutes, Messages will be sent to the concerned persons like, Bank manager, Nearest Police Department etc., Message: Message will include such as robbery is taking place, address with location (latitude and longitude). Whenever user clicks on this message i directly open the map. 7. CONCLUSION As we all know, these days most of the ATM has been attacked by the robberies. Also gradual increases the theft of ATM after the year by year. By implementing this project we can catch thief and robberie s in ATM itself and also we can save our precious time. As person enters into the ATM Machine through door. Firstly, if user carries, metals like hammer, screw driver, heavy machine etc., detected by metal detector. REFERENCES [1] Sakr, Sharif.
