This magazine is the result of the efforts of the f-stop Photography Club, an organization of art, design and photography students at Shoreline Community College. 15 THE BEST OF Welcome to Issue 2 of Words. A few of us were talking about this issue a couple of meetings ago. It was just before Issue 1 launched. We wanted to put together one more issue of Words before it goes dark for the summer. Whatever the theme was to be, everything had to come together quickly. Photographs had to be submitted, final choices made, and the book had to go to press fast. Someone suggested The Best Of as the theme and that was it. Submissions were turned in, and Issue 2 practically assembled itself. All of the contributors culled through work they had done up to now, looking for their best and it shows. The photographs in the following pages have a flow and rhythm that truly reflects a certain bestness. Words will take a break for a few months and be back in the fall. Have a great summer.
