Lots of creative touches emphasise the individuality of the building. These façade paints provide intense shades combined with excellent UV resistance, colour brilliance and a wide range of colours. or long-lasting and intense colours. 4 COVERAGE Thanks to their unique formulation, Baumit façade paints are extremely resistant to environmental influences. They can therefore prevent damage to the façade and help to protect the building structure for a long time. Wind, weather and sunlight can cause façade paints to fade and lose their initial colour over time. In order to prevent this, Baumit façade paints contain high-quality light and weather-resistant pigments, creating façades that gleam, even after many years. The use of dark colours to cover the whole façade has previously been limited, mainly because dark shades heat up and fade quickly in the sun. Baumit therefore developed CoolPigments technology. CoolPigments reflect a large proportion of the sunlight to which they are exposed, reducing the surface temperature and enabling fashionable dark colours to be applied over an entire ETICS surface. The new pigments can be mixed into paints and plasters as an additive, which means that all 888 Life colours with a lightness coefficient of less than 20, can be applied over a large surface area on an external thermal insulation composite system. 5

6 açade Paints Nanopor BAUMIT NANOPOR Self-cleaning Photocatalysis Anti-ageing treatment for façades The first aspect to note is that Baumit Nanopor has a special microscopically smooth surface with a "nanoporous" structure. These nanopores are too small (1 nanometre = 1 millionth of a millimetre) for dirt particles to get into, making it difficult for them to attach themselves to the surface. urthermore, the low electrostatic charge of Baumit NanoporColor reduces the contamination of the façade. The few particles of dirt that nevertheless manage to attach themselves are removed from the façade by the evaporation of moisture (air moisture, rain etc.) stored in the hydrophilic surface of Baumit NanoporTop. Secondly, Baumit NanoporTop and Baumit NanpoColor contain a photocatalyst, creating a further, very efficient self-cleaning effect. The photocatalyst in the paint is activated by daylight. It breaks down the few dirt particles attached to the surface, which are then loosened by the movement of the air and in some cases, fall to the ground. Rain and drying moisture also remove dirt particles and clean the façade. The photocatalyst contained in the façade is not depleted during this process. The result is a dirt-resistant surface that stays beautiful for a long time. Sunlight activates the photocatalyst in the render or the paint. This decomposes the remaining dirt particles deposited on the surface, which are loosened by air movement and start to fall off. 16 açade Paints BAUMIT paints can be used on almost all standard building substrates. In order to ensure that the top coat adheres securely, the substrate must be sufficiently sound, dry, stable and free of dust and frost. The substrate must therefore be assessed before the start of the painting work and any necessary substrate preparation must be carried out to bring it up to the required standard. Substrate DIRTY DIRTY AÇADE SANDY Dirt deposits on the surface create a separation layer for subsequent coats. The adhesion of the newly applied paint is then too low. ALGAE & MOULDS Clean the surface using Baumit ReClean. Strong cleaning and grease removal power suitable for use on all renders! SANDY AÇADE ALGAE & MOULDS PEELING Sandy surfaces reduce the stability of the new coat and can cause the newly applied paint to come off. Step 1: Clean the surface, for example using a pressure washer Step 2: Stabilise the surface using Baumit ReCompact. Even if the functionality of a façade is not impaired by the growth of algae and/or fungi, they are very detrimental to the appearance. Step 1: Treat the affected area using Baumit ungoluid Step 2: Brush down the façade Before repainting, any peeling or uneven material must first be removed and then any holes or cracks left behind be filled in. Spots of chalking can appear on the surface or applied paint can flake off. Pretreat with Baumit MultiPrimer to even out the absorbency Even small hairline cracks less than 0.5mm wide can cause lasting damage to the fabric of the building over time.
