To save time, take time to check gauge. Eyelet Cable Pattern (over mult sts) Row 1 (RS): P2, *slip next 3 sts purlwise onto the RH needle, pass the 3 rd st on the RH needle over the first 2 sts as if you're binding it off, slip those 2 sts back onto the LH needle, K1, yarn over, K1, P2. Repeat from * across. Row 2 and all WS rows: K the K sts and P the P sts, and P the yarn over sts. Row 3: P2, *K3, P2. Repeat from * across. Row 4: As Row 2. Repeat Rows 1 4 for patt. Reverse Stockinette Stitch Pattern Row 1 (RS): Purl across. Row 2: Knit across. Repeat Rows 1 and 2 for patt. 5 With RS facing, pick up and work patt across 10 sts from right front holder, place marker, pick up and purl 64 sts around neckline, pick up and work patt across 10 sts from left front holder 84 sts. Keeping 10 sts each side in Eyelet Cable Patt and all other sts in Reverse Stockinette st, work even until hood measures approx 1", ending after purl row. Place a marker to set off the two middle sts in the center back of neck. 6 Divide rem sts onto two double pointed needles, putting 41 sts onto each one, and holding WS facing each other, graft them tog. Pocket Edgings With RS facing, pick up and K 22 sts from pocket holder. Work Garter St (knitting all rows) until edging measures approx 1". BO. Sew pocket linings to WS of fronts. Sew sides of pocket edgings to RS of front. Sew underarm and side seams. Sew on buttons opposite markers.
