The knit version is worked in one piece to the armholes and has a knit-as-you-go garter border. The crochet version is single crochet and seamed at the sides and shoulders. Page 1

MATERIALS LION BRAND Chenille Thick & Quick 4 (4, 5, 5) skeins #141 Dusty Mauve or #108 Dusty Blue or color of your choice Lion Brand size 11 (8 mm) knitting needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE (long circular needle recommended) Stitch holders Decorative clasp (#1082 in catalog,jhb #901, or clasp of your choice) GAUGE 8 sts = 4" (10 cm) in stockinette stitch (knit on right side, purl on wrong side). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. STITCH EXPLANATION k2tog Knit 2 sts together. ssk (slip, slip, knit) Slip next 2 sts, one at a time as if to knit to right needle, insert left needle into fronts of these 2 sts and knit them together from this position.
