2 Materials and supplies: 1. Any yarn for body you are used to: g/3,6 oz of main color - Light grey (I used Drops Cotton Light) - small quantity of additional colors: brown & pink. 2. Hook size suitable for your yarn. I used 2,5mm (US C/UK 12) 3. Yarn for top of your dress (I used wool, but it can be also cotton or acrylic yarn). 4. Knitting needles suitable for your yarn. 5. Piece of fabric for skirt about 50х15cm/19,7X6 in 6. Fiber filling 7. Two black plastic beads for eyes (d=8mm) Abbreviations: Ch chain Sc single crochet Hdc - half double crochet Dc double crochet St stitch Inc increase (2 sc or 2 dc in one stitch) Dec decrease (crochet next 2 st together) [n] Inc/Dec increase/decrease [n] times in a row Sl st slip stitch R row/round () x... - repeat instructions in brackets times Number in () at the end of the Row indicates number of st in that Row 8. 5 Fold edges together and single crochet them. Cut the yarn leaving a long tail for assembly. Crochet second ear the same way. NOSE: Work with Brown yarn color. R1: Make a chain of 9, 2 sc into the 2nd ch from the hook, sc in next 6 ch, 4 sc in the last ch. Working on other side of beginning chain: sc in next 6 ch, Inc in the last chain. Fold the edges together in the end and work single crochet to make 6 sc. Cut the yarn leaving a long tail for assembly. Make second detail same way. HIND FEET: Hind feet consist of 2 details: top part (leg) and bottom part (feet) Top part: Work with main color yarn - Grey. R1: 6 sc in magic ring R2: 6 inc (12) R3-42: 12 sc (40 rounds) Stuff every 5 rounds Cut the yarn leaving a long tail for assembly.

9 Bottom part: Work with Brown yarn color. 12 Pin the nose in the center of the bottom of the head. Sew koala nose to the head carefully. When there is a small hole left, stuff the nose with filling quite tight.

13 Then sew nose to the end. Fix ears on the head with pins. Sew ears to head carefully.

14 Next, sew the eyes. Take black sewing thread folded twice and a needle. Choose the location of the eyes on your own. After finishing head, we'll sew it to the body. Place it right in the center. Secure last row (35th) of the body to the 28th row of the head with pins. These rows have 24 stitches each that's why it will be easier to sew details together at that level.

15 Sew details by taking loops of the body first, then head, alternately. When we have small hole left, stuff the area between head and body tight enough. Then sew details to the end.

16 Hind feet will be sewed with button joints as shown on the picture. Or you can watch video tutorial on YouTube: Take yarn and long needle. Insert needle into the point A on the inner side of the hind foot, bring it to the point B from the outside. Pull the yarn through the button. And take the yarn out to the point A again. Further, determine points of joining hind feet with the body on the sides of the body. It is approx. between rows 9-10 of the body. Hind feet must be on the same level. That will be points C and D. Insert needle into the point C, take it out in point D. Then join second hind foot the same way we did for the first one. Then insert needle into the point D of the body and take it out in point C. We will end up with two yarn tails. Tighten the strands so that the hind feet don't hang out and tie into the knots several times. Hide yarn tails inside the body Place fore feet on the sides of the body. Sew them to the body.

17 Sew cone cap to the head previously stuff it with fiber and secure on the head with pins. Ruddy cheeks using brush and dry pastel.

19 TOP OF THE DRESS ABBREVIATIONS: K knit stitch P purl stitch YO yarn over st st stockinette stitch We need to calculate required quantity of stitches to be casted on. Knit the sample 10 rows x 10 stitches. Having measured the sample I got 4 cm/1,57 in. That means that there are 10 st in 4 cm/1,57 in. Further measure neck girth (at the place where we'll start to knit raglan) of your crocodile. I've got 15 cm/5,9 in. In order to find out quantity of stitches in 15 cm/5,9 in: multiply 10 by 15/5,9 and devide by 4/1,57. I've got 37,5 and rounded to 38. If you got odd number, round to even. Cast on 38 stitches. Now devide them in following way: - from total quntity subtract 4 raglan stitches (38 4=34); - substranct 3 st for each sleeve (34-6=28); - 28 st distribute for front and back of the cardigan, 14 st for each; - as our cardigan has open front, devide it into 2 parts: 14/2=7. So in the end I get: 7 stitches for first front, raglan stitch, 3 stitches for first sleeve, raglan stitch, 14 stitches for back, raglan stitch, 3 stitches for second sleeve, raglan stitch, 7 stitches for second front. Totally 38 stitches. Front and back of dress slide off on one thread, sleeves - on two separate threads. Raglan stitches I refered to the front. In the end I got 70 stitches. Front and back st of the dress place on needles again and knit 6 rows St st. Then bind off stitches. Bind off sleeves stitches. Crochet them around: (hdc, dc, hdc) in one stitch, sl st in next one, again (hdc, dc, hdc) in one stitch, sl st in next one...alternate to the end of the row. Decorate top of the dress with buttons.

21 SKIRT Take a piece of fabric 15x50 cm/19,7x6 in for bottom of the dress (skirt). Bend fabric bottom and handle edge. Iron well. About 0,5 cm/0,2 in from the top make wide stitches along the entire length. Make one more line of stitches beside. You can do it on sewing machine or by hands. Pull two thread (one of first and one of second lines) to the length of knit part of dress. Stitch once more with small stitches to form folds and secure them. Sew sides together. Fix finished skirt with pins to knitted top of the dress and neatly sew it with appropriate thread color.
