In Hoop Size select the 260mm x 200mm - Universal large Hoop 3, and set Orientation at Vertical. Many machin e brands and types are supported. You may select Enter Hoop Size and create a custo m hoop size. 5. Click OK. 6. Select Assistants in the TruE TM Studio menu. Select QuickCreate and then QuickCreate into Hoop. 7. Drag the Zoom slider to view the artwork more closely, a nd use Gestures on the g lide pad, Magic Trackpad, or Magic Mouse to a djust the view w hen zoomed, 15. Click Continue to go to Design Size. 16. Set the Width +-+ at 100mm in Design Size, If you want to see the actual size of the updated Height, either press the Tab key or click in the a lternate box, Yo u m ay adj ust either Width or Height, and t he alternate dimension w ill automatically to be proportional. r ~, The Proportional lock i ~ is always closed in the Assistant. 17, C lic k Continue to go to Choose Thread Colors. 18. Select Robison-Anton Rayon 40 in Change All Threads To, 19. Ensure there is a check in Remove Background Color. 20. Selec t the Eyedropper [.J to pick up additional colors in the rainbow. 4 Some graphics may fi lter o ut colors that are similar, such as the re d and orange, when t hey are in close proximity. Th e Eyedropper allows you to select additiona l colors from the Source Picture image itself. 21. Click Continue to go to Fabric and Stitch o pti 0 n s, 22. Click the drop down menu in Fabric. Select Woven. The Assistant will a utomatically c o mpensate the stitches and underlay in the d esign for th e selected fabric. 23. Uncheck Design Underlay, as underlay will be automatically added to your d esign. ~ 1<J<CrN~ Assl~C ' '' lji1c..._ SUtch; OptJOIlS In some instances, extra underlay is desirable and a check may be left in the Design Underlay box. Extra underlay w ould provide support for sheer or fra gile fabrics, help contain the loft in pile or fleece fa brics, or provid e sta bility in stretchy fabrics. 24. Select 0 in Preferred Stitch Type so the design will be mostly fill stitches. 25. Click Continue to go to Design Preview. Review the design information, including size, stitch count, and number of thread colors. 26. In Design Preview click Done. 27. Select File, then Save to make a multipart.vp3 file. Browse to the folder of your choice and name the design rainbow. 28. Select File, and then Export and stitch your unique embroidery! Select the options of your choice. Click Next, and save in the folder of your choice. 5 Export allows flatte ni ng of the em broidery, including ColorSort Re move Overlap, and ot her adjust ments. Page 5 Export al so offers multi p le fil e types t hat may b e used on ma ny e mbroidery machines. Part 2: Create a Portrait from a Digital Photo 1. Touch the keyboard 3 and N keys to open an r----~\ additional program window. 2. Ensure the Hoop is still 260mm x 200mm - Universal Large Hoop 3, and set Orientation at Vertical. _\ I 3. Click the drop down menu by Assistants a nd then select Portrait. 4. Select Portrait into Rectangle. 5. Click a nd drag a rectangle a bout o/.t the stitch area of the hoop, or roughly 2 grid squares smaller all around than the entire stitch area of the hoop. Th e grid only covers the stitch area of the hoop within the work area, so you can easily determine how large to c reate an embroidery in the selected Hoop, 6. Select Create Color Portrait Embroidery, -~ - Portrait Em broi d ery will c reate a unique textured stitc h sim ilar to free-motion thread painting, shading and blending c olors w ithin the e mbroidery to create a unique portrait. 13. Click Continue to go to Rotate and Crop Picture, 14. Click Automatic, You may also a djust the sides of the c ro p box inward slightly to re move a bit of the empty space at the si des or top of the p hoto, 15. Click Continue to go to Design Size, Size is already determined by the rec tangle we drew and does not have to be c hanged. 16. Click Continue to go to Choose Thread Colors, Click OK to the warning popup if it appears, The pop-up will advise that large embroideries may take so me time to generate, 17. 7 Page 7 Because the thread colors are matched to the background colors in the portrait, use the exac t shades specified in your stitch out for best resu lts. 18. Click Continue to go to Portrait Embroidery Options. You w ill be prompted to wait w hile the emb roidery generates. 19. In the Portrait Embroidery Options page, you may adjust design Density to accommodate different fabrics or artistic styles. You may also select Enl1ance Detail for better definition in lowresolution images. You may click a nd drag a corner or side of the Assistant w indow to enla rge the vi ew, so you can see th e stitches more closely. You may also use the zoom slider to view stitches at a higher zoom setting. When Zoomed in, pan the vi ew with the sid e and bottom sliders or with Gestures on the glide p ad, Magic Mouse or Magic TrackPa d. 20. Adjust Density to 3, and the design will generate again, updating the stitches. 21. Click Done. 22. Ensure the Control Panel is open a nd the Designs Page - = :::=: is selected. I 23. Click Center in Hoop r I. Add a Frame and Crop the Embroidery """1 24. Click Frames in Control Panel. 25. Click the drop down menu in Collection and select Frames. 26. Th e frame will fit to the portrait and crop away the o uter edge for a fine finis h. Th e fra me and portra it stitch w ill be permanently merged. I, Select File, Save (or 3 plus S) to save as a I ' ::::- "-' multipart.vp3 file with all elements separate for fast and easy changes later on. Browse to the folder of your choice, and name the file 'OliviaPortrait'. Click Save. Multipart.vp3 fi les maintain all the indivi dual designs without combining. However there is only one desi gn here, as the PortraitStitch with Fram e is a single merged design. 29. Select File, and then Export to select from multiple design formats for all machines and flatten the embroidery.
