Paper Piecing Instructions (Designer Note: Shorten your stitch length to approximately to create a tighter, more secure seam. This will make paper removal easier.) 1. Refer to the diagram as well as the fabric assignments listed in the cutting instructions for fabric placement. 2. Print (27) complete foundation templates for Evergreen Blocks A and B and (9) complete Evergreen Block C templates. Be sure that the printer does not scale down your foundation templates. 3. Cut out the paper piecing templates from all sheets making sure to include the outermost line for the ¼ seam allowance. Group each completed template together as you cut for organization. 4. Complete the paper piecing blocks in order numerically and alphabetically. Use ¼ seams and snip threads for a nice finish. 5. When trimming each paper pieced block, be sure that fabric extends to the edge of the paper to secure your block with a ¼ seam. 6. Repeat to complete (18) Evergreen Block A, (9) Evergreen Block B and (9) Evergreen Block C.

Quilt Assembly 1. The quilt top is assembled in a 3-block x 3-block grid. You may follow the quilt layout diagram or use your own layout for the color and block placement.

Press all seams open to reduce bulk. 2. Once you have finalized the layout, sew the blocks together using (4) Evergreen Blocks per block. 3. After completing your quilt blocks, sew the quilt top together in horizontal rows. After the horizontal rows are assembled, sew them all together to complete the quilt top. 4. Remove the papers from the back of the quilt and press thoroughly to ensure the quilt top lays flat.

5. To construct the border, sew together (3) Fabric A 2 x WOF strips using a diagonal seam. Repeat this process twice. Trim (2) strips to 2 x 45 ½ for the sides of the quilt.

11 7. Sandwich quilt with batting and backing, quilt as desired. 8. Bind quilt using Fabric B 2 ¼ strips.
