An outstanding stone in my opinion is the 8 Mile for $1,932 it has been faced, there are beautiful parallel lines of gem colour, I have it down as.485oz but really we should be weighing it by the carat. Faced as it is it s 75.16cts. It will make the most gorgeous pendant without much loss and will be a minimum of 60cts, I can highly recommend that piece. Kent mined it some 15 years ago and it has been lying around since. There are some beautiful Opal Slices recently secured from an 88 year old miner, you can make doublets and triplets out of these or use them for inlay. There are 70 pieces for only $210, that s only about $3 each. The old bloke had been selling them he told me for $20 each. There is a huge Black Mintubi on Sandstone for $99, a bargain. If you have a dremel I d suggest you use that after you have faced it a little on the wheel. You can pick out the beautiful strong bits of colour in it. It is green sitting right on black and is pretty well hidden under the sandstone so you won t see much in the picture. The Lambina 3 stones for $100 is also a beauty. A couple of Dark Base Mintubi parcels for only $200/oz, when this is gone we won t have any more at that price. It will be all over. You will love the Andamooka 2.5oz for only $375, they are very large pieces, only 7 pieces in the parcel. The Mintubi in Sandstone for $115 is another one for someone with a dremel. The miner found so much of this opal he couldn t be bothered cleaning it up, he put it in a cement mixer by the shovel full. He had so much opal they just classed the sandstone and put it all together, it had good colour and I was lucky enough to secure that parcel. The Coober Pedy Opal Slices for only $58 is something that you will really like. You can make some mosaics and doublets. There is a huge Andamooka stone for $495 weighing 6oz, there are some nice colours inside. This stone covers 3/4 the palm of your hand and is a bit more than 1 thick in most places. There are some very huge green stones in there for a cutter but it is also a wonderful stone for a carver. Now I know this is supposed to be a Rough Offer but the old bloke that came with the slices also had a few cut stones. There are three there that are faced off, only $45 for the lot. There are some gem colours in there. The teardrop stone when it s cut will be worth close to $150 by itself, you should snap that one up. There are two Shell pieces that have been finished off to the total of 5.6cts, very bright beautiful broad flash, one stone shaped like a kidney, right across the top of the stone is just beautiful blue green that turns to reds and golds. It will make a beautiful pendant or a ring. These stones are only $94 and not a thing to do them. Apart from Kent s 8 Mile stone as a real highlight and coming a very close second is the near perfect Snail, it weighs 3.3cts and has wonderful markings. This is very very rare. Very few miners find a snail. Some mine for 20 years and only ever see one from one of their friends or in a shop. If you want something special and rare for your collection this is a must for only $125.
