1 Garry Brock, Jr., Ph.D. CED Technologies, Inc. Garry Brock, Jr. is one of CED s Biomechanical Engineers. Dr. Brock earned a Masters and Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, where he performed research in the Cornell Biomechanics Laboratory in conjunction with the Hospital for Special Surgery and specialized in biomechanics, solid mechanics, and minored in materials science. Prior to attending Cornell, he earned a Master s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland in the Center for Advanced Life Cycle Engineering studying electronic product reliability as well as a bachelor s degree in Engineering Physics from Elizabethtown college where he studied human reaction times and gait analysis biomechanics. Dr. Brock s work includes injury causation and analysis of human environmental interactions. During his biomechanics education he has studied human fractures, osteoporosis treatment alterations to bone tissue, and human gait analysis. He has also studied electronic life cycle and failure analysis, including reliability analyses of multilayer ceramic capacitor technology. Dr. Brock is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He has published 5 peer-reviewed articles and abstracts in leading international biomechanics journals and conferences, and has served as a peer-reviewer for biomechanics journals. Dr. Brock served as a teaching assistant in Statics and Mechanics of Materials in 2012 and 2013 while at Cornell. He has also interned at ITT Corporation where he worked to develop and optimize an emerging new technology for use in product design.

2 Jonathan A. Dachs, Esq. Shayne, Dachs, Sauer & Dachs, LLP Jonathan A. Dachs is considered one of the leading authorities on insurance law and appellate practice (among other areas) in New York. A graduate of Columbia College of Columbia University (1980) and the New York University Law School (1983), he is admitted to practice before all New York state courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States district courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He joined Shayne, Dachs in 1987, after spending the initial three years of his legal career at the distinguished New York City firm of Chadbourne & Parke. Mr. Dachs is a member of the Nassau County and New York State Bar Associations, and a former member of the Board of Directors of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. He was the 1995 recipient of the Outstanding Young Lawyer Award from the New York State Bar Association's Tort Insurance & Compensation Law Section.

3 Terrence McCartney, Esq. Reiner Slaughter & McCartney, LLP Terrence E. McCartney is an accomplished trial attorney who practices in a variety of fields, including automobile and trucking accidents, workplace machinery accidents and defective consumer products. Terry has successfully represented clients against many of the nation s leading product manufacturers and most of the major insurance companies. Terry has also been recognized as a Super Lawyer in New York for many consecutive years. Terry has published numerous articles and lectures extensively at the local, state and national levels. He litigated one of the first air bag product liability cases in the country to a successful conclusion and several more since then. Terry has successfully handled numerous automobile crashworthiness and defective product cases, including several heavy truck post-collision fire cases, around the country and has obtained many seven figure verdicts and settlements. He recently handled over a dozen Toyota sudden unintended acceleration cases and serves as the New York State Liaison Counsel in that litigation. Terry is an active member of his community, currently serving as an elected City Councilman in Rye, New York. He has coached various youth sports for many years and continues to coach a boys and girls boxing program. Terry served in the Marine Corps and the Marine Corps Reserves as an infantry officer for about a decade attaining the rank of Major before receiving an Honorable Discharge in He has continued to remain involved in veteran s affairs since leaving active service. Terry was born in Hawaii and grew up in a military family with four siblings. He has been married to his college sweetheart for 30 years and has two adult sons. He enjoys sports, reading, playing golf and fly fishing in his free time.

4 Jill C. Owens, Esq. Goldberg Segalla, LLP Jill Owens is a partner in the firm s New York City office. In her more than two decades of practice, Jill has handled complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts nationwide. She concentrates her practice in the areas of class action defense, products liability, FINRA arbitration, directors and officers liability, and insurance coverage litigation. Jill has appeared on behalf of a range of clients including Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, and individuals. Jill has litigated numerous class actions nationwide in all phases, including class discovery, class certification, successful appeal of class certification determinations, and through class notice. She has made law at the federal appellate level concerning application of the Class Action Fairness Act. In addition, she has achieved favorable settlements of putative class actions as individual actions and has been an architect of creative class-wide settlements. In one example of Jill s class action experience, she the obtained favorable settlement of a federal putative class action involving a contaminated food product on behalf of a gourmet food product producer and a Fortune 100 retailer. Jill also has extensive litigation experience representing major national and international companies in mass tort and individual products liability actions involving cigarettes, and prescription products including, birth control, diet drugs, and opthalmic solution. Following law school, she was law clerk to the Honorable Anne E. Thompson of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey for two years.

Nationwide Trial Division Toledo Nationwide Insurance Tina Taylor Pecuszok is a Trial Attorney with Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company s Trial Division and its Commercial Trial Practice Group where she specializes in construction defect, insurance defense, fire loss, products liability, trucking law Rapid Response and Rapid Complex investigation, consumer law claims and complex commercial litigation in the State of Ohio and within the Midwest and beyond appearing pro hac vice. She is a member of DRI and the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys and currently serves as the Construction Law Committee Chairperson. 6 Robert J. Permutt, Esq. Nationwide Insurance Robert J. Permutt currently serves as a Commercial Zone Practice Group Leader for Nationwide Insurance s Trial Division. In this capacity, he oversees the Commercial Litigation for four Northeastern states. Prior to his current role, Rob served for six plus years in the Office of General Counsel for Nationwide Insurance. During his last three years in General Counsel s Office, he was a Lead Assistant General Counsel, supervising a team of attorneys that provided legal support to the Personal Lines Casualty Claims Organization for the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic States. He also individually provided legal support to the New York Personal Lines Casualty Claims Organization. Robert graduated from the State University of New York at Albany in 1991, with a Bachelor s Degree in History. Robert then attended Brooklyn Law School, obtaining a Juris Doctorate in Following his graduation from law school, Robert worked in the Orange County District Attorney s Office for four years, ending his tenure in the office s Violent Felony Unit. Upon leaving the District Attorney s Office, Robert worked for two New York State insurance defense law firms, handling a varied case load including products liability, Labor Law, premises liability, municipal liability and automobile liability cases. Robert then joined the House Counsel operations for Progressive Insurance Company, handling large loss exposures throughout the Hudson Valley, New York City and Long Island.
