3 Speakers Leslie Wyatt is the Director of Industry Relations at SoftPro. She began her career in the real estate industry 21 years ago, and joined SoftPro in Leslie has held various positions in Training, Consulting, Research and Development, Compliance and Business Integrations with her primary focus being on regulatory and compliance issues. Leslie is a member of the ALTA Implementation Task Force, the Title Action Network Steering Committee, the ALTA Government Affairs Committee, the ALTA Membership Committee, the ALTA Education Committee and the TLTA Federal Issues Committee. She has represented ALTA at a congressional briefing regarding the CFPB and the upcoming changes. Leslie is currently working with Fannie Mae on the HUD-1 Innovation challenge continues to work with the CFPB on various projects regarding the current Know Before You Owe project and the Final Rule. Leslie Midgley joined the staff of the Texas Land Title Association over 35 years ago and has been involved in every aspect of the association since that time. Since 2001, she has been at the helm, serving as Executive Vice President and CEO, the chief paid position of the 2,500+ member organization. She has been honored by both the title and association industries with the following awards: Texas Land Title Association President s Award (2002, 2016) and Texas Society of Association Executives Distinguished Executive Award (2013), Chairman s Award (2007), Professional Excellence Award (1990). Leslie has a Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management from St. Edward s University in Austin. In 1999, she successfully completed the Certified Association Executive (CAE) program through the American Society of Association Executives. She served for several years on the Board of Directors of the Texas Society of Association Executives and was Chairman of the Board of that organization in Dan Mennenoh began his career in the title insurance industry in 1982 when he joined Galena, Illinois-based H.B. Wilkinson Title Co., a privately held company established in He was named President of the company in 1996 upon the retirement of his father, John Mennenoh. In addition Dan is the current President of the American Land Title Association. Mennenoh formerly served as director of the Illinois Land Title Association (ILTA) and served as its President from In 2006, Mennenoh was elected to the Board of Directors for the Title Industry Assurance Company (TIAC), a professional liability insurance company for the title industry. Dan s wife, Merry, is the accounting and human resource manager for H.B. Wilkinson Title Co. They have lived in the historic district of Galena, IL, for the past 20 years and have two children. In 2008, their daughter, Devon Irby, started working for the company, becoming the third generation of the family in the title business. Frank Pellegrini has practiced law in Illinois since 1976 and has been in the title insurance industry since 1976, formed Prairie Title in 1983 along with his wife, Mary, in response to a recognized need in a niche market area, which had been largely ignored by other title companies in the Chicago area. Pellegrini is active in industry, community and social organizations. He is a Past President of the American Land Title Association (ALTA). Frank has been very involved with the Illinois Land Title Association, serving as its President from mid-2004 until mid Pellegrini is a member of the America, Illinois and Chicago Bar Associations, the West Suburban Bar Association and the Justinian Society of Lawyers. John Mirkovic is Deputy Recorder for Communications & IT with the Cook County Recorder of Deeds. He responsible for ensuring that the office is able to speak to the public, both through its land records and its public messaging. He is engaged in public policy and takes seriously that our open land records system is the bedrock of our economy and land ownership. In his current role, his interests include: E-recording; predictable recording fees; electronic transfer tax remittance; LRMS implementation; project management; electronic notarization; information technology; graphic design; blockchain and distributed ledger technology; data marketing; information design; GIS; cybersecurity and encryption. Patrick Quist is Vice President and Director of Illinois and Indiana Governmental Relations for Fidelity National Title Group, which encompasses Chicago Title Insurance Company, Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company, and Fidelity National Title Insurance Company. Prior to joining Chicago Title, Mr. Quist was in private practice from 1993 to Patrick is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and Illinois State Bar Association. He is Co-Chair of the Legislative Committee for the Illinois Land Title Association; he was appointed by the Illinois Secretary of State s Office as a Commissioner on the continued
4 Speakers, continued Illinois Electronic Recording Commission. That Commission has was charged with establishing E-recording standards in the state of Illinois. Trish Cooke Prior to the appointment to Supervisor of Title Insurance in November 2016, Trish served as Chief of Staff for State Senator Michael G. Connelly. She also worked many years in the Title Insurance industry, most recently with National Title Solutions in Woodridge Illinois. Trish s core business in title insurance included investor business and attorney relationships. During her time serving as Chief of Staff with Sen Connelly in district and Springfield, the issues facing the title insurance industry were brought to Sen Connelly s attention. Trish was born in Rockford Illinois, graduated from Northern Illinois University in She has been connected in professional and community service for many years and includes, Chicago Area Opiate Taskforce, IMBA, Lisle Eyes to the Skies Festival, Naperville Heritage Society, Toys for Tots, Lisle Chamber of Commerce and Naperville SD203. Wes Miller is the CEO and co-founder of ATS Secured, which has been termed a new technology category for the real estate and settlement industry. He has extensive experience in Residential Mortgage Markets and in developing core and ancillary financial products. Brian Wojcicki was a legislative intern for Cook-Witter, Inc in 2005 and after nearly a decade, he re-joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer. In addition to lobbying with Cook- Witter, Inc., Brian continues to provide legal counsel through Whitt Law, LLC, and currently represents multiple national corporations and numerous school districts throughout the state. While in law school, Brian worked in the General Counsel s office for Central Management Services and after graduating, worked as an attorney in private practice for five years in Chicago, focusing on civil and administrative litigation in the areas of labor and employment law, insurance coverage and worker s compensation defense. He is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association (CBA), and currently serves as legislative liaison for the CBA s election law committee as well as being a member of the CBA s main legislative committee. Prior to law school, Brian received a bachelor s degree in Political Science and Philosophy from Bradley University in Peoria. While at Chicago-Kent College of Law, Brian participated in the Labor and Employment Law Certificate Program and after graduating, served as an instructor of trial advocacy for a top ten nationally ranked law school program.
