2 Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT Bombay) IIT Bombay set up by an Act of Parliament, was established 1958, at Powai, a northern suburb of Mumbai. Today the Institute is recognized as one of the centers of academic excellence the country. Over the years, the dynamic progress at IIT Bombay all academic research activities, a parallel improvement facilities frastructure, has kept the stitute on par with the best stitutions the world. About 20 percent of its graduates post-graduates are entrepreneurs many of them first generation. ( Shailesh J Mehta School of Management (SJM SOM) IITBombay established its management school 1995 to promote terdisciplary learng to keep up with the changg environment with the objective of transformg professionals to "Renaissance Leaders" of tomorrow. In the year 2000, the school was renamed as Shailesh J Mehta School of Management, honor of Dr. Shailesh J. Mehta, a distguished alumnus of IIT Bombay a generous contributor to the school. SJM SOM already leads the way preparg its Graduates to respond to the new challenges by drawg on the varied tellectual resources of IIT Bombay providg an outstg novative program management education. Contug Education Programmes are beg conducted all over the country abroad. In addition to regular short term programmes, CE&QIP also conducts tensive courses on selected topics leadg to a certificate on successful completion evaluation.

3 Management Program Family Busess & Entrepreneurship (MFBE) ( ) First Batch of Management Program Family Busess & Entrepreneurship (MFBE) is proposed to be held through CE&QIP of IIT Bombay durg Sept 2014 June The programme will be coordated by Prof. Desh Sharma & Prof. S.Bhargava of SJM SOM, IIT Bombay. This program has been exclusively designed to meet the emergg needs of entrepreneurs. It cludes topics that bridge the existg skills gap facilitate easy transtion to the required platform for success. It is an endeavor to provide an opportunity to get an -depth orientation exposure to the foundations of entrepreneurial Management, family busess addressg all aspects of Entrepreneurship.

4 Programme Duration September 2014 to June 2015: Classes to be held durg alternate weekends. Classes are proposed to be held on alternate weekend Saturdays (2pm pm) Sundays (8.30am to 2 pm). Who Will Benefit: This programme is useful to the Owners / successors of family busesses, Prospective/ aspirg entrepreneurs. Pedagogy Programme Faculty: The programme pedagogy will volve use of case studies, lecture-cum-discussions, video / film discussions, semars, role plays, projects etc. The programme will clude faculty from IIT Bombay, leadg experts from dustry academia. Programme Fee: Total fees for the programme will be Rs 240,000 (two lakh forty thous rupees only) with additional Service tax of 12.36% (Rs 29,664). Total Fee payable will be Rs 269,664 (Two Lakh sixty ne thous six hundred sixty four) only. There is no separate registration fee. This program fee cludes the course materials. Each participant is required to pay the total fee by a crossed dem draft drawn favour of THE REGISTRAR, IIT BOMBAY (CEP ACCOUNT) payable at Mumbai. Certificate: The certificate of participation would be issued to the cidates who have registered participated the course.

6 Profile of the Programme Coordators Important Pots Dr Desh Sharma comes with diverse experience marketg as practioner, researcher teacher. He has worked Industry before jog research teachg career. His teaches marketg strategy, marketg research br management, salesmanagement. He has published several research papers many peer reviewed ternational journals also has written several case studies. Dr. S. Bhargava is Professor at the SJMSOM, IIT Bombay. He teaches Organizational Behavior, HRM Busess Entrepreneurship Development is engaged research as well as consultg same areas. Important Dates Last date of Submission of application forms : 19th September, 2014 Personal Interview: 21st September, 2014 Program Starts : 27th September, 2014 Medium of struction will be English. The programme is non-residential. Graduates ( any disciple) with experience are desirable for admission this program. Total fee is to be paid Advance. There is no provision for stallment. The fee once paid would not be refunded. Registration fees paid by a cidate cannot be transferred to another cidate. The class schedule will be finalized at the start of the course. However there can be some changes at later stage due to unforeseen circumstances. Mimum attendance requirement will be as per rules of IIT Bombay, CE&QIP. Conduct of this program is sole discretion of IIT Bombay can be rescheduled or cancelled due to any unavoidable circumstances. In that case the registration fee will be fully refunded.
