A designer should deliver the solution to the society in most economical way, impacting identified need and when it is most needed. Industrial product design, Communication design and Brand designs plays important role in developing market for the business success. Design also leads to up-gradation of quality of life and in developing uniqueness and differentiation, hence help companies grow their business. FACULTY Prof. Sanjay Jain Sanjay Jain heads Product Design discipline in & Director of Business Incubation Center at MIT Institute of Design. He has worked in various industries for 19 years.

He started his career as Product Designer in Uptron India Ltd, Lucknow designing Televisions, worked as Head of Product Design group in Wipro Lighting, Aurangabad and later as General Manager Product

Design, development and successful launch of several innovative Lighting products and systems in the Indian market has been his key contribution for a larger span of his industrial career.

4 FACULTY Prof. Sanjay Jain Sanjay Jain heads Product Design discipline in & Director of Business Incubation Center at MIT Institute of Design. He has worked in various industries for 19 years. By education, he is a Civil engineer from 1979 batch of IIT Bombay and Product Designer from 1984 batch Industrial Design Centre (IITB). He started his career as Product Designer in Uptron India Ltd, Lucknow designing Televisions, worked as Head of Product Design group in Wipro Lighting, Aurangabad and later as General Manager Product Development in Bajaj Electricals Ltd, Mumbai. Design, development and successful launch of several innovative Lighting products and systems in the Indian market has been his key contribution for a larger span of his industrial career. His recounts his strengths in industry have been Need-Identification thru direct dialogue with potential customers, Development of comprehensive Design brief based on analysis and Design optimization through synthesis of innovative use of new materials and processes. He is keen to share his industrial experience with the learners in the fields of Design Process, Design Management, Product optimization through Manufacturing processes and Innovation use of materials. Prof. Ranjana Dani Ranjana Dani is Senior Faculty in the Graphic Design Department at MIT Institute of Design, Pune. She is teaching Graphic Design, Visualization, Advertising and Marketing theory and Branding and Innovative Strategy. Committed to the core and ever-striving for continuous development of relevant skills in the students; through innovative concepts and methods regarding content and application. Has established the status of a Professional Artist by developing a distinctive style and has also held numerous exhibitions in India and abroad. A continuous interaction with Design Institutes and Design and Advertising Firms has empowered her to stay abreast with contemporary trends. Dr. V. Premnath Dr. V. Premnath holds a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology - Bombay and a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA. He has also been a Chevening Technology Enterprise Fellow with the Centre for Scientific Enterprises, London Business School and Cambridge University, UK. He brings with him considerable experience in technology development and commercialization (two successfully commercialized families of products), working with start-up companies (in Cambridge-UK and India) and engaging with large corporations on research and consulting projects as project leader.

FACULTY Gayatree Wagh is Mechanical engineer and registered patent agent. Her area of work covers Intellectual Property, Patent drafting, IP Training programs and workshops.

Gayatree Wagh Deepak Sarda completed his master in Bioprocess technology from UDCT, Mumbai. He also holds LL B degree from Mumbai University.

Deepak Sarda Amruta Tirmale is Intern at National Chemical Laboratory (NCL). Her area of work covers Intellectual Property, IP training, programme and workshops, technology commercialization.
