1 8th International Conference on The International Entrepreneurship: Trends, Challenges, Achievements For the eighth consecutive time the Entrepreneurship Department and the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (IED) at UNWE jointly with the Bulgarian Association for Management Development and Entrepreneurship (BAMDE) and the European Council of Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ECSB) organized an International Conference on the International Entrepreneurship: Trends, Challenges, Achievements. The Forum was held in the period of 6 9 June in St. St. Constantine and Helena Resort Complex. Prof. Kiril Todorov, Chairman of the Organizing Committee is opening the Conference The Conference mission was to gather together professionals in the field of entrepreneurship to share and discuss ideas, issues, solutions and good practices. During the plenary session Leading speakers were: Prof. Eric Flamholtz, Honorary Professor in Management, Anderson School of Management, University of California and Los Angeles, President of the Management Systems Consulting Corporation, Los Angeles, USA, Prof. Andrew Burke, Dean, Trinity School, Trinity College, Dublin, University of Dublin, Ireland, editor-founder of the magazine International Re-view of Entrepreneurship (IRE), Prof. David Smallbone,

2 Center for Research of Small Business, Kingston University, London, UK, Ex-President of the International Council of Small Business (ICSB), Prof. Simon Bridge, consultant, Director of several Non-Governmental Sector Organizations, guest-professor at the Ulster University Business School, UK. Prof. Ken O`Neil, Prof. David Smallbone and Prof. Eric Flamholtz at the Conference presidium In the Conference frameworks were held several seminars. Leading lecturer at the Seminar on the Ten Tricks of Effective Interaction for Owners of Small Business was Prof. Ken O`Neil, Honorary Professor in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development of the Ulster University, UK, the first British who won the Queen's Award for Enterprise Promotion award for outstanding contribution to British enterprise, former President of the International Council of Small Business (ICSB). Leading lecturer at the Seminar for Doctoral students on How to Prepare a Dissertation Thesis and How to Publish in Reputable Magazines in the Field of Entrepreneurship was Prof. David Smallbone and at the Seminar on Managerial Systems and Consulting Prof. Eric Flamholtz. Plenary session In the Conference took active part scientists, consultants, entrepreneurs and policy makers from Austria, Belgium, UK, Ghana, Germany, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Spain, China, Latvia, Nigeria, Poland, USA, Sweden and South Africa.
