6 (e) Other Presentations Founded the Arc Initiative (2010), developed and delivered business skills workshop for entrepreneurs in Phalaborwa, South Africa. The program involvement was seven students, two alumni and three business people. During 2011 the Arc Initiative expanded to include Ethiopia in addition to South Africa. Eight students lived and worked in South Africa for 3 months. Four students lived and worked in Ethiopia for about 1 month each. During 2012 the Arc Initiative expanded to include Colombia. There are now three travelling teams of students and alumni each summer. Provided several Seminars in Mexico City (February 2008) in the area of Management Accounting and Strategic Decision-Making. Moderator for the Society of Management Accountants of B.C. Executive Strategic Leadership Program (a total of six two-day weekends per year) UBC Enrolment Services 'Yield' Sessions: Presented at the UBC session in Brazil. Presented during the Mexico City "yield Session". The yield sessions are targeted to incoming first year students and their parents. These students have been accepted by UBC but have not yet decided upon a University. Participated in an interview with Maclean's magazine forming part of the UBC write up in the annual MacLean's University Guide for students.
