8 Our Team of Experts Ramesh Fatania Frederik Rijkens Graham Wykes Colin Woodward Ramesh has a broad international experience gained over 25 years in the Oil & Gas Industry with BP. Originally a chemical engineer, he has built expertise in Marketing, Refinery Operations, Supply Chain, Process Improvement, ERP Systems, Corporate Strategy and Planning, and Mergers and Acquisitions. He has more than 10 years experience in management consulting and leadership development. Ramesh is British and lives in Belgium. Frederik has more than 30 years of hands-on experience managing all kinds of oilfield development projects on all continents. Frederik s expertise spans from conceptual design to implementation and start-up operations, small projects to $6+billion, onshore to deepwater, production to storage and offloading, small operators to the oil majors. He is an expert in operations and HSE and specializes in performing due diligence reporting in these areas. Frederik is Dutch and lives in the Netherlands. Graham is a finance and governance expert with more than 30 years experience with BP across O&G businesses E&P, refining and chemicals, terminal operations, and downstream retail. He also has experience as commercial director. A Chartered Accountant by training, Graham is familiar with all aspects of financial strategy and financial reporting, including having implemented Sarbanes-Oxley worldwide. Graham is British and lives in the UK. Colin is an expert in oil and gas trading, portfolio development, commercial strategy, built up over a 27- year career with Shell. He has led and managed review and optimization projects, negotiated purchase, sales, transport and processing agreements. Colin has also been responsible for sales of Shell s refinery products. He is a leader and manager of local and dispersed teams. Colin is British and lives in the Netherlands. 9 Our Team of Experts Spiros Serpanos Gary Thomas Branislav Beara Steven Cooremans Spiros has more than 28 years of experience in sales, distribution, marketing, and leadership roles in Exxon- Mobil s Downstream retail business, particularly in fuels and lubricants. Spiros has worked all over the Middle East, Africa and Southern Europe. He has deep experience training, developing and mentoring multi-cultural and geographically dispersed sales teams. Spiros is Greek/American and lives in Brussels and Washington DC. Gary has more than 20 years experience in strategy, leadership, commercial and regulatory roles with British Gas and Transco. He is an expert contract negotiator and specializes in commercial risk management. While head of Strategy for National Grid, Gary developed the smart metering commercial business leading to a 40% increase in earnings, and was part of the US/UK smart grid project. Gary is British and lives in the UK. Brane has more than 30 years experience in shipping and Marine Terminal Operations, and is a recognized expert on HSE compliance, industry regulations, risk management and emergency response, with ENOC, with DP World, As an engineer who in his early career spent years on cargo, chemical and oil tankers as safety officer, Brane is an expert in the risks of transporting and transferring hazardous substances, both on the ship side and the port side. Brane is Croatian and lives in Dubai. Steven has developed 20 years of expertise in project management and IT operations management with BP, working in more than 20 countries. Steven has led organizational change through the process side, having overseen global ERP transformations, and business process optimization and outsourcing. In the later years with BP Steven moved to the HR role and was involved directly in communicating change and engaging people to achieve the strategy. 10 Special Advisors Antoon Rumes Antoon is an advisor to airlines and financial organizations in the field of oil, gas and energy trading, and commodities and derivatives trading and hedging. He is also a senior advisor to many companies across industries. Antoon spent some years in the downstream business, 10 years in quality and logistics with Ethyl Corporation and 4 with Kuwait Petroleum Belgium. After that he moved to DHL and Sabena Airlines where he managed fuel supply risk. Antoon is Belgian and lives in Belgium. Jean-Marie Masset Jean-Marie is an experienced Executive in the Oil & Gas industry with ELF and TOTAL. As a geologist he has over 30 years managed exploration and operations, working up Senior VP Geosciences, Exploration & Production on several continents. Jean-Marie is a long standing member of the French Union of Geologists, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers and other associations. André Erlich Originally an electrical engineer, André has built his experience over 40 years leading technology and innovation as well as business operations with Schlumberger, working his way up to Vice President, Technology and Innovation. André has French and US Citizenship. He studied in Poland and speaks French, English, Polish and Russian fluently. Armin Stoltz Armin is an expert in the electricity and gas power generation markets in Central Europe, from the buyer s side. He has held leadership positions in Preussen Elektra, BEB Erdgas & Erdöl, Alpiq, Entrade, Atel Energy. Armin has negotiated and led many energy trading and cross-border selling agreements. Armin started his career as a Mechanical Engineer. He is German and currently lives both in Switzerland and Germany.
