1 Adelaide Guitar Festival Winter School Orchestral Stream Ho to Choose a Section Nylon string guitars are highly preerred or this ensemble, and players should be amiliar ith sitting ith a ootstool. Guitarists need to be able to: Read music or the guitar Play ith rest stroke and alternating right hand inger technique The Adelaide Winter School Guitar Ensemble corises our sections:,, & Bass. Whilst all music ill be careully edited to help you learn your notes, the olloing should help you decide hich section to prepare or: Section : This is generally the most advanced part, and players should be able to shit positions comortably and play at a reasonably ast teo. Oten playing in the higher positions (all ingered.) Section : This is generally an easier part, and players should be able to play in the loer positions comortably. Section : This section is generally the more chordal part o the group, so players need to be able to change chords ell. While these parts can look like they have LOTS o notes, these are really ust the notes o chords ritten out! So, easy chords might look tricky, but they re still ust easy chords! There are some occasional barre chords (but these can be siliied i necessary.)
