1 Noyes S.E.D. June 2017 Newsletter Thank you so much to everyone who came to our Ice Cream Social and Art Show! We very much enjoyed getting to mingle with so many parents and other family members and showing off all the cool artwork the children have been working on all school year. Absences During busy times of the year like this, we often have quite a few people forget to inform us when children will be absent from SED. This is stressful for our staff and holds up the entire dismissal process for both the school and SED. Please don't forget to let us know if your child will not attend on a scheduled day. If you do not let us know, there is a Search fee of $25 the first time, with increasing fees if it happens again. Last Day Of School The last day of school is Tuesday June 20th. The children get out of school at 12:45 on this day. We are open until 6:15. However, in the past we have found that we usually have low attendance on this day and most children are picked up by around 5:30. The last day will consist of teachers organizing and preparing for next school year. We will be using up leftover snacks and projects and there will be outdoor play for the kids. Please let us know if your child will not be attending. We are not able to take space availables on this day. Contracts Most of you have signed your contracts for next school year (thank you!). Almost everyone signed them when they came in to pick up, so we were able to turn them in to the office right away. If you did bring yours home and have not turned it in already, please be sure to turn it in ASAP. They were due June 1st. If you are not sure if yours has been turned in, please call the office to check. Paperwork Recently we sent home blank copies of your child's enrollment paperwork for you to fill out. We are required by EEC to update our paperwork every year. Some years we can just have parents re-sign the old papers, but most of the ones in your files have be re-signed already (many of them twice). We do need you to fill out new paperwork this year. We understand it is a bit of a hassle, but we have to comply with our regulations. If you have not yet brought yours back to Noyes, please do so within the next week. After that, we will be contacting families who have not yet returned them and will continue to remind you. If you need a new copy, you can print one from our website ( - under enrollment forms). You can also fill them out directly on our website and print them already filled. Medications If your child has medication(s) at SED, we must return them to you by the last day of school. Please let us know if it is your child's last day coming to us, or when that will be. If we are not able to get the medication to you by your child's last day, we will ask you to arrange a time with us to pick it up, either at Noyes or the main office. 2 SED Noyes June 2017 Morning SED Newsletter It's hard to believe with the cool, wet weather that we've been having that it's already June but here we are! With only 13 days left of school, we hope that you are all enjoying the beautiful days and ready for the summer ahead! Space Available Thank you to all of you who have been calling or ing ahead of time for Space Available in the mornings, it has made our mornings run much smoother lately! Please continue to either (until 7am the day of) or call (after 7am day of) to arrange a Morning Space Available. We would feel awful if you showed up at the door and we had to turn you away because we unexpectedly didn't have enough staff that day! Thank you so much for understanding. If you have not already turned in your contract for next year, please do so ASAP, they were due June 1st, If you are unsure of whether you turned in your contract, you can call the office at to check! If that is an afternoon you can pick it up on the last day (or whichever your child's last day here will be.) If your child comes morning only we can send the medication home with them in their backpack on their last scheduled morning OR you can us to set up an afternoon to pick it up.
