2 Sunshine Law Concepts All meetings of any board or commission of any state agency at which official acts are to be taken are public meetings. ( , (1), F. S.) Sunshine law applies to an advisory committee formed to make recommendations to the decision makers of a state agency. Any meeting of two or more members of a committee to discuss their evaluations, deliberations, recommendations, etc., is considered a public meeting. Public meetings must be open to the public at all times, reasonable notice of such meetings must be given and minutes must be kept. 2

6 I-395 Project Office New project office opened on January 5, 2015 Located at 1035 NW 3rd Avenue in Overtown Staffed by FDOT Monday Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Serves as a community resource to provide information to the public about the project

7 Public Involvement Plan Maintain updated fact sheets Host an informational session for the community Plan and host information sessions and workshops for potential contractors and vendors from the Overtown area interested in working on the bridge project Host workshops to teach prospective vendors how to become registered with FDOT including information about MyFlorida Marketplace

These represent Department s present concepts which are subject to change and will be clearly defined in the actual contract documents. We will provide the ARC with the contract requirements as the procurement progresses and will cover the details in the upcoming training.

10 Aesthetics Manual Visual Quality Intentions for Design The Signature Bridge Span(s) is intended to be a world-class, iconic structure and serve as a City of Miami landmark. All bridges are integrated and all elements complement the overall appearance of the Signature Bridge Span(s) structure. Bridges possess an elegant simplicity in which the engineered lines and proportions are the primary design elements, e.g. form follows function. The design elements exhibit fluid lines in the overall presentation of the bridges. 10
