3 Ocean-the beautiful, mysterious, rich and bountiful place where multitudes of creatures live together! However, if you listen carefully, you can hear the painful voice that you never noticed before. Marine animals are suffering from physical harm, loss of habitat, and wrong food uptake brought by the marine litter. This book was made by people trying to reduce marine litter and resolve the serious problems related to it. Please join us in preserving our marine environment! 1. 4 01 Rescue the black-tailed gull who swallowed a fishing hook. A veterinarian rescued a black-tailed gull which was dying from fishing debris. Please color it so that it can fly away to the sky. Report On March 12, 2012, an injured black-tailed gull was reported to Chungnam Wild Animal Rescue Center. Its legs, chest, and wings were entangled in the fishing line. Diagnosis As soon as a veterinarian saw the fishing line near the beak, he took an x-ray of the bird. He was sure that the bird had swallowed some fishing line and a hook and its stomach was seriously hurt. Operation The veterinarian operated on the bird and removed the fishing line and hook from its stomach. Treatment After the bird was treated and cared for two months, it was fully recovered. Chungnam Wild Animal Rescue Center released the bird on May 5, 2012 in Samgil Harbor, Seosan, Chungnam. 4 (Photographed by Chungnam Wild Animal Rescue Center)
