Minimum height 5feet. (1.5m) 2 A spiral staircase with a central design for a stated occasion. 3 A table centrepiece to incorporate latex fantasy flowers with additional table décor displayed on an oblong or circular dressed table 5.4 Store and finish the completed balloon arrangements with related techniques 5.5 Produce a cost sheet and order of work including timescale 5.6 Evaluate and present the completed balloon arrangements with related techniques Strengths Areas for improvement 5.7 All work produced for this unit will be collated and stored in an appropriate format 6 Level 2 Award, Certificate and Diploma in Creative Techniques [7112]
9 In this unit the learner will: Use correct inflation techniques with the following equipment (using) hand pump, electric air inflator and regulator with a balloon gas cylinder for latex balloons Use correct inflation techniques with the following equipment (using) hand pump, electric air inflator and regulator for foil balloons Use correct sizing techniques when working with self made and/or manufactured sizers Use correct knotting of individual, duplet and a three balloon cluster Create correctly heat seal foil balloons Create and inflate double stuffed latex balloons Prepare and construct picks for insertion into a balloon arrangement Create correctly constructed intermediate latex fantasy petals and flowers e.g. rose and poinsettia. Prepare floral foam and insert into appropriate container Tape and wire the latex fantasy flowers and 260qs and branching units to a saleable standard Select and use appropriate sundries and accessories to construct topiary designs and themed balloon arrangements Create visual balance when a balloon centrepiece becomes the weight for an aerial balloon bouquet. 12 Use correct inflation techniques using hand pump and electric air inflator Use correct sizing techniques when working with self made and/or manufactured sizers when creating alternate packing, graded columns and same size duplets and clusters Use correct knotting of a duplet and a three balloon cluster. Secure balloon clusters correctly to form patterned and spiralled columns, garlands and conal shapes using the figure of 8 method and the neck to neck method. Learning outcomes 1 Use principles of colour, line, texture, shape and form as relevant, to inform the design of festive and event décor. 2 Plan and manage the making festive and event decor to the working design 3 Work safely and effectively 4 Make well constructed festive designs and event décor to a saleable standard Learning outcome 1 1 Investigate contextual influences relating to festive and event décor. Learning outcome 2 2 Use principles of colour, line, texture, shape and form as relevant, to inform the design of festive and event décor. The three assessments will either use air and/or balloon gas 1 A festive ceiling décor for a stated event 2 A 646q figure for a stated festive event. 3 A festive design for a stated event using a minimum of three twisting techniques 5.4 Store and finish the completed festive designs and event décor 5.5 Produce a cost sheet and order of work including timescale 5.6 Evaluate and present the completed festive designs and event décor Strengths Areas for improvement 5.7 All work produced for this unit will be collated and stored in an appropriate format In this unit the learner will: Use correct inflation techniques (using) hand pump and electric air inflator for knotting techniques of latex 160q, 260q and 646q round and shaped balloons. Create correctly heat sealed foil balloons using a hand pump and electric heat sealer. Learning programme In this unit the learner will: Use correct inflation techniques of duplets, double bubbles using a 16 (406mm) and an 11 (279mm) latex balloons, gumballs, donuts and blossoms using balloon gas with appropriate regulator Use correct sizing techniques of duplets, double bubbles, gumballs, donuts and blossoms when working with self made and manufactured sizers Use correct tying techniques and appropriate tying medium when inflating duplets, double bubbles, gumballs, geodonuts and geoblossoms Inflate latex balloons with correct quantity of solution to extend float life Use accurate inflation of 260qs and manipulate to create 16 (406mm) balloon floating fish Use appropriate tying techniques and attachment of latex balloons when creating a herringbone arch and a canopy.
