11 GOING ABROAD WITH SCHERDEL LUKAS MÜLLER I spent my practical semester during my dual study program in our plant SCHERDEL de México. Our plant is located in the international industrial park in Silao, near León, a city with 1.6 million inhabitants, where I lived in the SCHERDEL house which is especially rented by SCHERDEL for visitors. Both cities are located in the economically strong state of Guanajuato, which is situated 1,800 meters above sea level in Central Mexico. I worked in the international Trade Department and learned a lot about foreign trade and logistics. At the same time I wrote a description about the specificities of the international trade in Mexico, which was supported by an incentive program of the Mexican government, the IMMEX program. Conclusion: Apart from the great distance between me and my family and friends, I had only positive and very profound experiences. I recommend to anyone who is interested in, to do his/her practical semester abroad.
