Ir Ng has over twenty years continuous experience as a geotechnical engineer in Hong Kong and having extensive experience on the civil and geotechnical works including but not limited to site formation and foundation design, including reinforced concrete retaining walls, bored piles and minipiles foundation, pre-stress viaducts/bridges for railways structures excavation and lateral support works, surface water drainage design, slope stability assessment, natural terrain hazard review, land contamination investigation and structural integrity survey. She also has the experience in risk assessment by involving in the study with GEO on the QRA of collapses of deep excavations in Hong Kong. He has been working in the geotechnical engineering field for more than 25 years and has a wide range of experience which covers planning, management, education, research, design and construction aspects. His interests include soil testing, slope stability analysis and education on geotechnical engineering. Ir CHUNG is an honorary associate professor of the Department of Earth Sciences, HKU. He has been teaching the MSc course in Applied Geosciences since the set up of this course, some 15 years ago. He also teaches laboratory testing under a MSc course in Geotechnical Engineering run by the Department of Civil Engineering, HKU and slope stability analysis under another MSc course administered by HKUST.
