4 partnership It a consortium and a network of more than and school libraries in the North Western area of Milan (Italy). It was founded in 1997 with the aim of promoting and managing services within the of the librarian cooperation between neighboring towns. Today it consists of 33 municipalities for the management of 40 public libraries. The territory of competence is the north west area of Milan, in the north of Italy. CSBNO designs and provides library services - ly aimed at providing citizens with new and exciting opportunities for personal creative development. Moreover, in accordance with the provisions of the IFLA/UNESCO Public Library Manifesto, CSBNO actively pursues the development of information and computer literacy skills among the population, offering services like makerspaces and technology lending, and organizing events such as the annual hackathon, in partnership with Università degli Studi di Milano Bicocca. At the moment, CSBNO supports the ispex-eu 2015 a pilot European-wide Citizen Science campaign for the measurement of aerosols, organized by Leiden University (Holland) and part of LIGHT2015: 300 ispex add-ons for iphone are available to users via library loan, while the librarians are willing to provide patrons information about the campaign. 33 Municipalities in the north-western area of the city of Milan for global 800,000 inhabitants, 50 public and school libraries. 300,000 people are the audience and 90,000 people, the users of our libraries. Every year 20 libraries celebrate the library day with many cultural events (book presentations, shows, concerts) and with a very high participation of public (20,000 people). It is a young, dynamic and multidisciplinary public institution devoted to excellence in teaching, research, internationalization and technological transfer.in the space of 15 years UNIMIB has created an extensive network that includes many world-famous universities, research centers and top corporations.it is active in a wide array of research topics including ICT, Educational Sciences, Economics, Law, Mathematics, Physics and Natural Sciences, Medicine, Psychology and Sociology.UNIMIB offers an outstanding research environment to carry out research projects. In 2013 UNIMIB entered the QS World University Rankings, the yearly of the best universities in the world.in 2015 it 1st in Italy and 24th in the world ranking Times Higher Education 100 under 50 that is a ranking of the top 100 universities under 50 years old. The University is also a gateway to professionalism and educates scientists and technicians for Italy s industries. it has always given a particular attention to protection, enhancement and promotion of cultural heritage and events. Among the main areas of intervention of the General Department (G.D.) for Culture there are Attractiveness and enhancement of cultural heritage and Promotion of cultural and creative companies. A particular attention has been drawn to the development of strategic actions. Aarhus is the second largest city in Denmark and one of Denmark s fastest growing cities and one of the leading growth centres with more than more than citizens. It is the centre of Greater Aarhus, which has a population of approx. 1.2 million people. The City of Aarhus has approx. 30,000 employees and a turnover of around EUR 3 billion. Dokk1 is the name of the newly constructed urban media centre on the waterfront of Aarhus. Since its opening in June 2015 it has more than visitors everyday - including weekends. The centre itself is an innovative, intelligent and interactive building that serves as an environment for learning and exploring. It presents a dynamic space for everyone looking for knowledge, inspiration and a sense of community. Dokk1 accommodates Aarhus Main Library and Aarhus Citizen Services along with a great variety of facilities for cultural and social activities and networking. The purpose of Dokk1 is to address the increasing public demands for lifelong learning and to give access to new technology and media. For this reason, the centre has been constructed with in-built to new developments in technology, media, and consumption of culture. Citizens of Aarhus, users of Dokk1, and other key stakeholders are continuously involved in the project, which makes it possible to stay up-to-date on the latest trends. Aarhus opened a new innovation centre at Dokk1 in The centre for innovation supports and strengthens innovative projects that will create everyday improvements for citizens in Aarhus. In particular, the centre works with projects that deal with promoting equality, increasing self-reliance, prevention and early action, the city s development and increasing the quality of life for the disabled.

Through donations and public subscription was inaugurated on March 20, 1921 a popular library, which gave her the name of Nicolae Iorga, a sign of homage to the scientist and apostle Romanian people, Established in 2002 in Bistrita, Progress Foundation is an experienced Romanian NGO that pilots local initiatives in the of education, community development and volunteerism and then scales it up, at national level, as innovative and impactful best practices, using county and local libraries (as lifelong learning hubs and social innovation centers) to reach out to virtually any social group and/or citizen, especially to the most marginalized ones. Progress Foundation is one of the legacy organization of the Biblionet program, funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation with 26,9 mil USD and has currently over 1800 local libraries in its network. Over the past 2 years we have invested in the professional development of over one third of the county libraries of Romania in topics as: democracy literacy, active citizenship, managerial competencies, costomer care and provided consultancy in human centered design to the National Library of Romania and 2 other county libraries.
