9 Engagement AFOSR Research Grants Conference Support Windows on Science (WOS) Windows on the World (WOW) Engineer and Scientist Exchange Program (ESEP) Project and Data Exchange Agreements Typically single-investigator, modest funding, and generally shorter duration than domestic grants Promotes collaborations and research dissemination to enable advances in areas of high AF interest, often stimulates interest in working with AFOSR Provides travel support for foreign investigators to present research to AF/DoD audiences, typically leading to new or continued collaborations and grant proposals Provides travel support for AF scientists and engineers to work in a foreign lab (typically a university) for a couple weeks to 6 months Formal government-to-government personnel exchange program in which Air Force members are assigned overseas to work in a foreign government lab Program officers informally build relationships between AFRL and foreign researchers leading to formal government-togovernment cooperative agreements 9
