Mastermix is separated into two distinct systems: 1. The first is a Universal Colourants Binder System (UCR) designed to produce solid colours in three technologies: namely 2K, Cargoline and Flowline. To achieve these technologies a range of Universal Colourants have been developed for use with three binders. 2. The second system is solely Base Coat Technology (OBR) which incorporates Basecoat Colourants with a Basecoat binder. 5 UNIVERSAL COLOURANTS (UCR) TECHNOLOGY: 3-IN-1 The MasterMix UCR s toner range is lead free and compliments the following 3 (three) technologies when mixed with respective binders: 1. Plascon 2K (PTK) Binder: Offering high gloss, excellent flow, high durability and good coverage! 2. Flowline (KNL) Binder: A fast drying, superior quality nitrocellulose with exceptional flow properties, the Flowline range is ideal for use on surfaces requiring a durable, high gloss finish. 3. Cargoline (SAS) Binder: An air dry enamel coating suited to a variety of automotive and light industrial applications. A unique alkyd resin, formulated to show off its best colours outdoors. 15 TOUCH UP TECHNOLOGY: AEROSOL RANGE THE TOUCH UP paint repair system offers a complete range of paint products in aerosol cans, from Primer to 2K Clearcoats. Professional and cost effective paint repairs can now be carried out on micro (A4 size) repairs. Further to this, the system enables distributors to fill any desired colour in various technologies and in the appropriate quantities into aerosol cans making use of either the pneumatic / manual filling machine. Choose desired colour: Make use of any of the following colour documentation available: Global Colour Tool / SA Car Colours / Plascon software / colour codes. 2. Choose appropriate technology: According to substrate, application and customer requirements choose between PTK / Flowline / Cargoline or Basecoat mix. Did you know? MasterMix also offers the following additional support to colour matchers such as: Colour address: AutomotiveColourHelpline@ kansaiplascon.co.za Colour help line: Mix desired colour: Making use of the Plascon software, mix required quantity according to formulation provided. Also featured on the disc: Accurate formulation costing / job cards / stock control / connectivity to the scale and Technical Data Sheets (TDS). 4. Test: It is always recommended to make use of the spray test card prior to application onto substrate. 5. Application: Now that you are satisfied with the mixed colour (shade and coverage) you are ready to make use of a good quality spray gun or the Plascon Touch Up aerosol cans to apply the colour.
