DETAILS OF THE VET STANDARD 1. Vocational education level 3 rd. 2. State code S Qualification awarded photographer. 4. Basic education secondary. II. CONTENT OF THE VET STANDARD 5. Brief description of occupational activity: 5.1. The VET Standard of a Photographer (hereinafter referred to as the Standard ) has been developed taking into account changes on the labour market, findings of the qualification study carried out by the Standards Development Working Group and based on experience in other countries. The present Standard serves as a basis for the development of a training programme of vocational education level A person having completed a training programme of a Photographer shall acquire professional competency in the following areas of activity: photographing with different types of cameras; working with lighting equipment and devices; making photos; photo retake A Photographer shall be able to work in photo-labs, photo-studios, as a photojournalist and in other photography areas. Photography is used for everyday and scientific purposes, e.g. astronomy, geodesy (photogrammetry), cartography (aerophotographs), physics (spectography), medicine (radiography), biology (microphotography), art criticism, criminology, etc A Photographer shall photograph and print photos A Photographer is expected to demonstrate the following personal qualities: observation, accuracy, tidiness, communication skills, quick reaction, excellent coordination of movements, stamina. 6. The objective of a Photographer is to photograph and make photos using various technologies. 7. Activity areas and competencies of a Photographer are listed in Appendix 1 of the Standard. 8. The scope of Photographer s competencies, training objectives and competency assessment are provided in Appendix 2 of the Standard. 9. A Photographer is expected to demonstrate the following general abilities: 9.1. creativity; 9.2. diligence; 9.3. responsibility; 9.4. willingness to improve; 9.5. tidiness. 10. Final qualification assessment:

The qualification of a Photographer shall be awarded to a pupil who has completed the whole training programme, acquired competencies defined in the Standard and has been given a positive final qualification evaluation In accordance with the competency assessment criteria listed in the Standard, the following is tested and evaluated: during the training process - all competencies defined in the Standard; during the final qualification assessment - selected competencies Organisation and performance of the final qualification assessment and issuance of documents is regulated by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania.
