While remaining very compact and low-cost, the SG24000H brings a powerful set of new features and upgrades: Wider frequency range (0.1-24GHz) High output power for driving microwave mixers Significantly lowered phase noise (-93c) Small frequency step size (10Hz) Dedicated DC power input for compatibility and stability Multi-stage PLL source with temperature compensation Analog multi-purpose trigger input Extended power control options ( steps - band 1) Very Cost Effective Incredibly Compact Signal Generator Control Unlike other signal generators in its class, the SG24000H allows for stand-alone control AND PC USB remote control via a lightweight windows application or SCPI serial commands. Users can easily generate a microwave signal with no configuration or user manual needed. The stand-alone OLED display and interface buttons allow frequency selection, attenuator control, and RF output control without need for a host PC. All settings can be saved as boot-up defaults for added convenience. 2 IN-DEPTH SYSTEM INFORMATION Ease of Use The SG24000 stand-alone panel controls, windows control GUI, and SCPI command set are all designed to be simple, intuitive, and complete. Signal Generator USB Operation With the SG24000 connected to the PC via micro USB port, industry standard SCPI commands are used to fully control the instrument. The USB port is configured on the host PC as a virtual COM port. This feature allows users to control the SG24000 for automated test applications from many different operating systems and scripting languages and environments. Drivers for this virtual COM port are built-in to all modern and even most legacy operating systems including embedded and mobile platforms. Precision Reference The SG24000 has an ultra-low noise precision high-frequency internal oscillator that is phase locked to a temperature compensated 200PPB 10MHz source. An external 10MHz can be auto-detected and locked if needed. Output Level Control Power output levels in all bands can be controlled via a internal step attenuator over a range of 25 in 0.5 steps. An additional 0-20 variable attenuator is available up to 13.6GHz. Under 6.8GHz has an extended step attenuator with >55 of range in 0.25 steps. Power Output Calibration Power output in all bands is calibrated to +10m. The power vernier setting can be used to output more than +10 if needed. Analog External Trigger The SG24000 features a MCX trigger input that can be used to trigger a sweep or other customer functions.
