Open 6D Embroidery. 2. Click on View, Change Hoop, and select the 200 x 200 Quilters Hoop. 3. Open design # Click on the Edit tab. Click on the check mark next to each color except color 2. Embroider: 1. Insert a size 90 embroidery needle. 2. Thread with 40 wt. rayon thread on top and bobbin thread in the bobbin. 3. Hoop green batik with Tear-A-Way stabilizer in your Texture Hoop. 4. Bring up design Touch and Hold Baste and select Baste around hoop area. This will secure the ribbon/fabric strips. 6. Place strips of fabric or ribbon as shown in the diagram, clipping them in place with the clips provided with your Texture Hoop. Begin embroidery. 7. After color 9, clip fuzzy yarn in place, crossing over the flower centers. Page 3 of 6

Stitch the flowers.vp3 design that you created. 11. Cut the embroidered fabric into four 2½ squares with the flowers centered. Set aside. 12. Create your lettering to fit in an area of not more than 130mm high x 180mm wide which is 5 x 6. If you create in the 5 x 7 (130 x 180) hoop and don t go all the way to the edge, that will keep you to the correct size. We used our 6D Software and Antonia font, size 12mm. Cut the embroidered word panel down to 6¼ high x 7½ wide. Sew: 1. Place two of the 5½ x 1½ strips right sides together. 2. Thread with sewing thread top and bobbin. 3. Snap on your Clear ¼ Piecing Foot w/guide. 4. Stitch the strips together. 5. Speed piece, feeding in the next set of two, and continue until you have 16 sets of two strips sewn. 6. Cut apart, and add the third strip to each one. 7. Press all the seams in one direction. 8. Place one of the pressed strip sets right sides together, aligning one end of the strip set with the end of the square as shown. Stitch, starting and stopping ¼ in from the end. 9. Open out the block. 10. Place the next strip set as shown; sew, starting and stopping ¼ in from the end of the square. Be sure to leave ¼ overlap for seam allowance. It s easiest to sew with the square up. 11. Continue until all four strip sets have been attached to the center square. Page 4 of 6

18. Add the 1½ x 16½ strips to the top and bottom of each patchwork piece as shown. 19. Stitch the three 1½ x 6¼ strips together. 20.

5 12. Sew the final seams and press. 13. Cut small pieces of fuzzy yarn and cross in the center of each flower. 14. Remove the presser foot. 15. Select stitch A2:38 and tack the yarn in place in the center of each flower. 16. Snap on your Clear ¼ Piecing foot w/guide. 17. Stitch the 1½ x 8 strips between two of the patchwork squares as shown. 18. Add the 1½ x 16½ strips to the top and bottom of each patchwork piece as shown. 19. Stitch the three 1½ x 6¼ strips together. 20. Place the three stitched squares between the word panel and the embroidered Texture Hoop square and stitch in place. 21. Stitch the pieced squares above and below the Texture Hoop/word block. 22. Stitch the two 1½ x 25 strips on each side. 23. Your pieced top is done. 24. Layer the top (right side up) with the INSPIRA In-R-Form batting alternative and the backing (right side down). 25. Attach your Interchangeable Dual Feed. 26. Snap on your Changeable Quilter s Guide Foot. 27. Stitch in the ditch of the strips. 28. Fold under ½ on each short end of the hanging casing strip to the wrong side. 29. Fold the casing in half, lengthwise. Place on the wrong side of the wall hanging, along the top edge. Pin. 30. Stitch near the raw edges securing the casing in place. 31. Stitch the binding strips end to end creating one long strip. Fold in half lengthwise and press. Page 5 of 6

6 32. Attach the binding to the right side of the wall hanging, mitering the corners as you reach them. 33. Handstitch the binding to the wrong side. 34. Insert the dowel in the casing, hang and enjoy! Page 6 of 6
