179 Advanced Programming Programming utility software is available for more advanced programming. All the configurations in these manual can be programmed through the utility for easy set up of multiple scanners. After selection all the required configurations, just click on "Apply" button to set into the scanner. In addition, FN1 and GS code substitution for USB keyboard mode can be setup with this utility. As the FN1 and GS code are not part of standard keyboard key function, it is necessary to substitute these output with a certain key output (default [F8]) to match with the application software requirements. The substitution can be 1 to 2 keys and can be combined with Ctrl or Alt key. For Alt key combination, it is also possible to output numbers with numeric keypad. This used in Windows to represent special key codes with Alt + numeric keypad combinations. For example, code 29 can be emulated as [Alt] + [2] + [9] where [2] and [9] are output with numeric keypad.
