In combination with PCESY slub attachment, CIS can also produce slubs, MC/MT yarn and PSS (short slubs). This is achieved at high production speed and excellent yarn strength. CIS Color Injected Slub Conversion of the ring frame to produce Injected Slub: double creel, driving unit with servomotors, control unit and special condensers at the drafting area. CIS provides an excellent result for the majority of yarn end uses, with good control of injected fibres and high slub strength. PCESY-CIS The CIS combined with regular slub attachment PCESY gives further design possibilities, such as: VarioSiro: The percentage of roving can be changed from 40% to 60% (further percentages are possible depending on sliver characteristics) so the 2 roving make a chain yarn (mouliné) with different colour intensity. The final count can remain the same. DualSlub: when an injected slub is combined with a normal slub, we get a dual slub. 3

5 Operation of the CIS Injection system The creel is equipped with a double number of rovings. One roving is fed in the back (3 rd ) roller. This is the roving that will be injected. The other roving is fed in the middle (2 nd ) roller. This roving is used as a base yarn. The front and middle rollers are always turning with a fixed drfat to produce the base yarn. By making the third roller turn for a definite period of time, we inject a bundle of fibres on the base roving. This group of fibres will create a slub of a different colour of the yarn. Programming 500 programs can be stored in the User interface The programs can be written in the PC or directly on the screen at the machine. From the PC, the programs are transferred to the machine with an USB pen drive. 5
